Oily and dehydrated skin often suffers from irritation, blemishes and tightness. REVIDERM sicca control day has been formulated to combat this difficult but common complexion.

The cream base is free of emulsifiers and based on skin-identical lipids (derma membrane system DMS). These horny layer lipids, as they are known, (e.g. ceramides, phospholipids, sphingolipids, etc.) form a binder between the keratinocytes and the skin barrier. In the absence of horny layer lipids, there is a rise in transepidermal water loss (TEWL). This results in tight and flaky skin. The cream base repairs damage to the barrier, stabilising the skin’s protective function as a result. TEWL is significantly reduced without weighing down the skin with a heavy cream texture.

The liquorice root extract contained in the cream is effective against irritation and inflammation; Ectoin is a natural active ingredient extracted from microorganisms. It has cell-protecting, anti-inflammatory and membrane-stabilising properties. Ectoin stimulates the repair mechanisms in the skin and also strengthens their resilience against external influences. In addition, hyaluronic acid and mineral light protection offer hydration and UV protection during the day.
