Switching retinol product & ramping up
I am currently using Peter Thomas Roth - Retinol Fusion PM Eye Cream every day without any issues. (By the way, I don’t use sunscreen.) I would definitely like to switch to Verso - Super eye serum and wonder exactly how I should proceed to be able to use it every day instead. When you reply, I would like you to specify: - Should I take a break between switching and just use regular eye cream? - How many times a week should I use Verso at the beginning? - After how long can I add one day, and after how long after that can I add another day, and so on? - Can I use Peter T.R on the days I don’t use Verso going forward, or should I use regular eye cream instead? The comment was made 1 weekHello Issy!☺️ Take a 2-3 evening break from retinol and use only a mild, moisturizing eye cream before you start with Verso. Begin every third evening (about 2 times a week) for 2-3 weeks with a very small amount (about half a pea for both eyes) on the bone around the eye, not too close to the lash line or on the eyelid. Then increase to 3 evenings per week 💛 Week 3, 4-5 evenings per week, and during weeks 4-5 if the skin feels calm, aiming for daily use only after the skin has been completely calm for at least 7 days in a row. If you get redness, stinging, or peeling, take a step back and give extra moisture or “buffer” with a thin eye cream before/after the serum. Avoid combining two retinoids around the eyes during the buildup phase; rather use a regular, mild eye cream on off nights (if you want to alternate with your PTR, it can work only once Verso works daily), and remember sun protection during the day ☀️ All the best!💛1 likes

Use:
Apply a tiny amount beneath the eye. Be careful not to apply the serum too close to your eye. Start in the inner corner of your eye and continue towards the temple.
