Buildable volume and long-lasting wear in a waterproof formula
I had the opportunity to test this waterproof mascara from Maybelline New York in the shade "Very Black" and am overall very positively surprised. The mascara's brush is soft and makes it easy to catch all lashes, from root to tip, giving a nice and even application without clumps. Formula and wear The formula is easy to work with and can also be built up if you want a more intense look with extra volume and definition. This makes it flexible for both a natural everyday makeup and a more defined look. One of the biggest advantages is the wear; the mascara really stays in place all day without flaking or smudging, which makes it extra reliable (especially in stressful situations like the thesis writing I am currently going through...). Removing the product However, I found that the waterproof formula could be a bit difficult to remove with my everyday makeup remover, but this can easily be solved by purchasing a makeup remover specifically designed for waterproof products. Perfect everyday base with a fresh finish and also with SPF50
I have had the wonderful opportunity to test Maybelline Fit Me Nude BB Cream SPF50 in the shade 20, and overall I am very pleased with the result. This product gives the skin a nice, natural glow that makes the face look fresh and even, without becoming too shiny. Formula and application Something I really appreciate about this product is how light the formula feels on the skin. It almost feels like you’re not wearing any base at all, which makes it extra comfortable to use daily. The product is very easy to apply and melts nicely into the skin, giving an even and natural result without feeling cakey. Coverage The coverage is relatively light, which makes it best suited for days when you want more of a “no makeup” feel rather than a fully covered base. That’s why it works perfectly as a quick and simple everyday product. The fact that it also contains SPF50 is a big plus and makes it a practical choice for daily use, especially when you want to combine light makeup with sun protection. A versatile mousse that gives the perfect glow!
I had the honor of testing Cloudtopia Cheek and Lip Mousse in the shade 8 Enchanted Mauve, and it’s a product that really surprised me positively. The color matched my skin tone very well. The shade is a soft, light pink tone that gives a natural rosy result without feeling overdone in any way. The formula The formula is easy to work with and melts nicely into the skin, making application both quick and easy. Another significant advantage, I would really say, is the product’s “economy.” Just a small amount on the face is enough to achieve a nice result, and it’s also very easy to build up the intensity for those who want or desire more color and definition. An incredibly practical product I also appreciate how versatile it is, as it works just as well on my cheeks as on my lips, making it very practical to carry in my bag, and it takes up so little space! Easy to apply and looks great all day!
To begin with, I must say that I really appreciate the formula of this lip pencil. It has a silky feel that makes it very pleasant to apply, and even though it’s a pencil, it feels creamy rather than dry. This makes it glide easily over the lips without snagging or feeling rough, while also not feeling like you use an unnecessary amount of product with each application. It’s also very easy to work with, whether you want to define the lips or fill them in more fully. Once it’s in place, it stays looking nice without smudging, giving a neat and long-lasting result. I tested the product in the shade 05 On it, and I really loved the slightly more brownish color! In combination with a lipstick, it works especially well. Even though I didn’t quite like the color sent in the same package as the lip pencil, I have tried other lipsticks with this lip pencil, and the products have really stayed put despite various activities throughout the day. When removing makeup in the evening, it hasn’t been a problem to get the product off, which I really appreciate since I’m usually very tired after long days and don’t always have the energy to struggle with removing makeup. Overall, it’s a well-balanced product that combines comfort, precision, and durability in a very successful way. I will definitely use this product in my daily makeup routine going forward! Impressive formula, but the shade didn’t quite suit my taste
I tested the Maybelline Serum Lipstick in the shade 002 Maybe It’s... and was quite positively surprised by the formula itself. The lipstick is soft and creamy, glides easily over the lips, and feels comfortable without being heavy or sticky. It also gives an even and nice finish right from the first application, and the moisturizing feeling lasts throughout the day, which I really appreciate, especially when lips tend to get dry (especially when it’s been cold outside). I also like how light the product feels on the lips, almost to the point where you forget you’re wearing it. The formula feels nourishing and helps keep the lips soft and supple. However, the shade itself wasn’t quite right for me personally. Although the color is nice and natural with a fresh tone, it didn’t quite match my skin tone or my personal everyday style. I can definitely see that it would be very flattering on others. In summary, I’m impressed by the quality and feel of the product, even though the color choice wasn’t a perfect match for me. An irresistible product I will add to my hair care routine!
My hair is basically quite dry and frizzy, so I’m used to having to work quite a bit to get both shine and smoothness. That’s why I was VERY impressed when I started seeing a clear difference after just a couple of weeks using the Gloss Absolu series. The most noticeable thing is the shine; the hair has gained a completely new gloss that really enhances the overall impression in my opinion. It not only looks healthier but also has a deeper, more vibrant tone and a kind of natural “glow” that I perhaps haven’t really experienced before with my hair. Beyond that, the hair feels much softer, more moisturized, and significantly less frizzy than before, even though my frizz hasn’t disappeared completely, but I didn’t expect that either. My personal favorite in the Kérastase Absolu series is definitely both the Masque Crème Hydra-Glaze and the Frizz-Glaze Cream. The shampoo is certainly a good addition to the series, but it’s not the product I feel delivers the best results. The two aforementioned products really deliver results “in a league of their own.” You only need a small amount of the product, which is a big plus, especially for me who has both thick and quite long hair. I easily feel that products I usually use tend to “disappear” in my hair, but not with these products! The hair becomes incredibly soft, it’s easy to detangle, and you get a smooth feeling without the hair becoming or feeling too heavy or greasy. My curls/my wavy hair also feel more defined and soft, without that stiff feeling some styling products can give. Here it feels more like the hair is getting help to be its best self, rather than being “fixed” with a bunch of different products to be saved. The scent of this particular product is quite strong, while at the same time feeling luxurious. This can be seen as a downside, but the scent fades quite quickly and after about half a day I still find it significantly more subtle, which makes it work in the long run. In summary, this is a series that has really made a difference for my hair in a relatively short time. The combination of increased shine, softness, and reduced frizz makes the overall impression feel both fresher and more well-groomed. Despite the somewhat intense scent, these are definitely products I will continue to use and that I think are worth their price, even if it can be felt in the wallet, especially for me as a student at the moment. From Skepticism to Wow Effect with This Hair Mask!
Initially, I was very skeptical about this hair mask, maybe because many hair masks promise the same results (but without success), but mainly because the Kérastase Absolu series almost sounds too good to be true and promises a result you can only dream of. SPOILER (!!): I can say that I was actually wrong! Already after the first wash and styling, I felt that my hair actually immediately felt softer, more and more moisturized, and that the hair actually got a clear shine that really looked healthy, not just a result of quickly throwing in some oil to save dry (and unfortunately split) ends.. It also became noticeably more manageable and easy to handle my hair, without feeling heavy or in any way weighed down, which otherwise easily happens with more moisturizing products in my opinion. Another thing I appreciated was how quickly the result was noticeable. It didn’t feel like a series where you have to “work in” the effect over several weeks, but rather like the hair got a direct refreshment right from the start, which I REALLY appreciate a lot. At the same time, it’s of course important to keep in mind that the experience can vary; hair type, previous damage, and needs play a big role, and what works perfectly for one person doesn’t have to be a universal solution for everyone. Regarding frizz, I experienced that the hair became significantly more controlled and “gathered” immediately after use, with a smoother finish and less flyaways. It’s maybe not a miracle cure that eliminates all frizz forever, but it definitely gives a noticeable improvement, especially in combination with the right styling. It should be said, however, that the frizz absolutely doesn’t suddenly disappear, but I still think it’s more controllable and doesn’t stick out in all directions. So, if you, like me, are a bit suspicious of products that promise a lot but at the same time struggle with frizz or dry, lifeless hair, then see this as a little push in the right direction to actually give this series an honest chance. It’s a hair mask that definitely feels a bit more in the wallet, but at the same time, it’s a valuable investment for your hair. I have very thick and (so far) long hair, and I find this mask quite economical. In my case, it went from skeptical raised eyebrows to a pretty convinced overall experience, and I will definitely continue to use this hair mask going forward. A shampoo that delivers a silky smooth result with minor compromises!
Overall, this shampoo leaves a very positive impression. It cleans the hair effectively without weighing it down, while leaving the lengths feeling moisturized, light, and manageable. In combination with the mask from the same series, I would still say I notice a slight difference; the hair becomes extra soft, gains a nice shine, and is significantly easier to detangle from any knots. The result also lasts for several days, making the hair feel fresh and healthy even between washes. The scent itself is another strength. It is lightly floral and balanced, clear enough to give a fresh feeling without being overwhelming. For those who, like me, appreciate products with a pleasant scent, this is definitely a plus. At the same time, there are some nuances to consider. Although the lengths feel moisturized, I find that the scalp can become somewhat drier with regular use. Additionally, the effect on frizz is somewhat limited. Immediately after washing, the hair is very smooth and feels nice, but after a day or so, the frizz tends to gradually return. For the price range and what the product promises, I might expect a bit more.. In summary, it is a well-performing shampoo that gives a nice, soft, and shiny result, especially in the lengths. Even though it’s not perfect for scalp or frizz control, it’s still a product I gladly continue to use and can recommend to others looking for a light but nourishing shampoo.
