Impressive durability
I am really satisfied with this product! I find that the makeup stays well throughout the day and that my skin doesn’t get as shiny as it usually does, which is a big plus for me. Like this one! I find that it keeps makeup nicely in place throughout the day and that the skin feels fresh, which I think the niacinamide and hyaluronic acid contribute to. However, I think the mist feels relatively "heavy" and can feel wet upon application, so I would have wished for a more "fine" mist for a higher rating. The scent is quite perfumed, but I still think it’s totally okay. Despite my perceived drawbacks, I will continue to use this as I think the result outweighs them. I find that Maybelline Grippy Setting Mist feels more like a primer than a setting mist. The mist isn’t very finely distributed, which means I don’t quite get that light feeling I expect from a setting mist. However, it feels moisturizing and gives the skin a nice glow. A big plus is that it contains niacinamide! I thought it smelled a bit chemical at first, but after using it for a while, I no longer notice any particular scent. Considering the low price, I still think it’s good, but going forward I’ll probably stick to something like CAIA. The product really surprised me! The first time I used it, I expected it to spray hard against my face, but it was the opposite. The spray is also wide, so it doesn't require many sprays. After letting the product dry, it doesn't feel sticky or heavy on the skin. You can barely tell I have it on my face. I tried rinsing off my makeup with the setting spray after a day's use, and I had to remove everything with makeup remover afterward because the makeup was still there!
