    Pretty okay

SUNSCREEN TEST 2026 ☀️ The last sunscreen in the Sunscreen Test is Beauty of Joseon Comfort Protection Mineral Body Sun Lotion SPF30 Face & Body, which is a completely mineral-based sunscreen with zinc oxide. I actually wanted to buy their chemical sunscreen SPF50+, but it was sold out when I was about to shop, so maybe next time. Physical/mineral-based sunscreens tend to leave a white film, which I don’t mind. This one leaves just a slight white/purple tint on the skin, nothing that bothers me. It absorbs and doesn’t leave the skin sticky. It works for both face and body if you don’t want to use different products. I’ve mainly used it on my body, but of course also tested it on my face and under makeup. Maybe not my favorite under makeup, but it works pretty okay. I feel like it stays in place, both visible and noticeable after swimming. But of course, it’s important to reapply at least every two hours, after swimming or if you sweat a lot. After one of the days when we were at the beach for a couple of hours, I noticed I got some color on my chest and underarms even though I reapplied generously, mostly on those areas. That day I was also sitting in the shade (with a hat!). Not perfect. I prefer SPF50 anyway since my skin is so fair. A summary with more details like price, type, and rating of all the sunscreens I’ve tested this year will be coming soon on my Instagram (molkanse), but first I want to show you how the products look and how to apply them. Unfortunately not for me 😬

SUNSCREEN TEST 2026 ☀️ One of the body sunscreens that I (and my partner) have tested this year is ACO Sun Lotion SPF 50. I actually didn’t know (or didn’t think) that most of ACO’s products were vegan, but you always learn something new! This sunscreen is supposed to be “not sticky” and very water-resistant, do I think it is? Nah. I think it feels quite sticky for a good while after application, and it’s pretty hard to rub in, it takes some time. It also tends to crease and run off when sweating. It kind of feels like it doesn’t absorb well but mostly sits on the skin. With a little white film on top (I also think you can see it in the video). It also tends to rub off on clothes. I also don’t think it feels very water-resistant. After swimming, you should of course always reapply, but with some sunscreens, you can still see or feel that they’re on, but this one is completely gone. Does it protect? Yes, I guess it does. When it doesn’t slide off the skin because of sweating. But is it comfortable? No, it feels like it sticks all the clothes to the skin and I want to wash it off immediately when I get home after being outside wearing it. The best thing about it is probably that it’s cheap. Around 190 SEK when we bought it. I saw it was on sale here now and was down to around 150 SEK. Unfortunately, this isn’t a winner for me, but that’s how it is sometimes. Not everything can be great. Really really good!

SUNSCREEN TEST 2026 ☀️ The last product in the sunscreen test for the face is COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF 50 PA +++. (For transparency, I have used this sunscreen before, and my partner bought it this year because he can use it even though it contains added perfume. He has much more sensitive skin than I do. However, I don’t remember what I thought about it the last time I tested it, so that’s why it’s included in the test.) A creamy, more solid creamy texture, and an easy-to-apply moisturizing sunscreen that I think neither shows nor feels on the skin. No oily or sticky finish and leaves no white cast (on very fair skin). My skin just looks like my own. I think it works very well both alone and under makeup. On one of the hottest days with 30+ degrees, I sweated quite a bit on my forehead/temples and got some in my eyes and felt very little stinging. But when it’s not that hot, I think it stays well in place and haven’t experienced it stinging in the eyes before. It’s easy to wash off with my regular face wash and leaves no residue. It’s relatively cheap at regular price but is often on sale and then becomes one of the cheaper sunscreens on the market. And if it were perfume-free, it probably would have gotten full points. Radiance-boosting ✨

Advertisement for Indy Beauty (PR). SUNSCREEN TEST 2026 ☀️ The second to last product in the sunscreen test for the face is Indy Beauty Cica Protecting Moisturiser SPF 50+, with centella asiatica (cica) and 2% niacinamide. (This product isn’t really new to me, but I don’t think I’ve reviewed it anywhere before) The texture is like a classic sunscreen, on the runnier side. It’s fragrance-free, which makes it suitable for sensitive skin. The product is easy to apply and gives a very radiant finish (almost a bit like your face looks wet), so if you don’t like a really “dewy look,” this isn’t for you. Which also means it might be a bit “stickier” than the other sunscreens I’ve tested this year. For me, that’s absolutely fine because I like it. It works well under makeup, even for me with oily/combination skin. The slightly more “sticky”/radiant finish makes my makeup adhere better. Maybe I need to powder a bit extra so I don’t get too shiny on my face by the end of the day. But as I said, that doesn’t bother me. I put this to the test last week on one of the hottest days, and I thought it stayed on really well despite being so shiny. It stung a bit in my eyes after I had been swimming and sweating (and reapplied) after a couple of hours, but it was nothing I couldn’t wipe away and not a dealbreaker for me either. I’ve experienced worse stinging. I find it easy to wash off; I don’t feel any residue when I wash my face with my usual cleanser. Simply a nice sunscreen ☀️ A summary with more details like price, type, and rating of all the sunscreens I’ve tested this year will be coming soon on my Instagram (molkanse), but first I want to show you how the products look and how to apply them. Stays right where it should!

SUNSCREEN TEST 2026 ☀️ Next up is Embryolisse Sun Stick SPF50+, a waterproof sun stick with antioxidant roucou oil that gives a glow without white cast. (Note! Unfortunately, I only realized afterwards that the product is not vegan as it contains beeswax, but it was marked vegan in the filtering. I usually am good at checking INCI lists, but this time I completely missed it, and what's done is done, so now I will use it up so I don't waste the money. I do wish it was vegan though 💁🏻‍♀️) The product glides on very well and is easy to apply. The finish is very shiny, but once applied, it stays put through sweating and swimming. I've even had trouble washing it off with double cleansing. So I recommend it for those who maybe do a lot of sports or sweat a lot on their face, as well as when swimming. Since it contains wax, it doesn't run at all. It doesn't work very well under makeup as it contains several different waxes and causes makeup either not to adhere well or just to slide around. What you should keep in mind when using sun sticks and other solid sunscreens is that it's hard to apply the right amount. I think Lab Muffin Beauty Science's test of sun sticks is good basic knowledge to understand how much product you actually need to apply to get full protection: youtube.com/watch?v=rDZGu68c5sU Would I recommend it as a base sunscreen? No, it's too difficult and requires a lot of effort to get proper protection, just like with Smuutis cushion SPF, and it also contains too little product to be worth using as a base sunscreen. But applying it on top of a base sunscreen, absolutely. A summary with more specifications like price, type, and rating of all sunscreens I've tested this year will be coming soon on my Instagram (molkanse), but first I want to show you how the sunscreens look and how to apply them. Good daily sunscreen 😎

SUNSCREEN TEST 2026 ☀️ Next up in the sunscreen test is Scandy Gimme Shade Daily SPF 50+. A classic liquid sunscreen meant for daily use. It’s very runny in texture and has a scent of pineapple/tropical fruit 🍍 So maybe not for you if you have very sensitive skin or are sensitive to added fragrance. I find it behaves a bit differently than many of my favorite sunscreens. You have to work it in a bit more for it to sit nicely on the skin, but once it’s in place, it’s not visible at all. It tends to pill a little if you apply too much at once, so I recommend applying in two layers, I think that works best. A big plus is the packaging 🙌🏻 It’s neither a screw cap nor a flip lid, you just twist the cap half a turn and it’s open. I really like the convenience of that. The finish is neither overly glowy nor too matte, but somewhere in between. It works well under makeup, it’s just sticky enough to act as a primer and moisturizing cream in one. I find it can sting a bit in the eyes when sweating, but it’s minimal for me. It’s relatively inexpensive. Overall, I like it, maybe not top 3, but good enough that I’d probably buy it again. Fresh and light!

Advertisement for Smuuti Skin (PR) SUNSCREEN TEST 2026 ☀️ Earlier this spring, Smuuti Skin launched what many of us have been asking for, a sunscreen in cushion format for easy on-the-go reapplication 🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️ 🍑 Peach Barrier Sun Cushion SPF50 is a lightweight sunscreen cream in a compact case with an applicator. Super convenient to carry in your bag and easy to apply no matter where you are. I really like this one for its purpose! It works great for reapplying sunscreen even when you have makeup on (but also without). I don’t think it lifts my makeup and the applicator is easy to wash off between uses. Would I recommend it as a base sunscreen? No. It requires too much product and it gets too expensive if you need to apply that much to get full protection. Since the product only contains 15 ml, that’s only 6 applications, so it’s better to use a base sunscreen in the morning and have this for touch-ups during the day 💁🏻‍♀️ I also wish it was refillable to be a bit more environmentally friendly (I’ve managed to loosen part of the case, but I don’t dare break more because I’m afraid it will break), but hopefully that will come 💭 The finish is somewhat on the glowy side, but not over the top. I haven’t experienced any stinging in the eyes either, but that might be because you can’t apply too much or directly on the eyelids if you apply it over makeup.
