When they say the serum brightens the skin, they mean it evens out the skin tone and reduces marks/scars, not that it removes your tan because Vitamin C doesn’t do that, it inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase → fewer unwanted pigment accumulations and gives more radiance ✨ Hope that clarified a bit! I like the cream, it's not sticky, absorbs well. But not a full score because of the smell.
