The best way is to separate them and use mandelic acid in the evening and vitamin C in the morning. If you use them at the same time, there is a risk of irritation or that the skin feels prickly. It works very well to combine niacinamide with mandelic acid. Niacinamide is soothing and strengthens the skin barrier, which can actually help reduce irritation from the acid.
