Effect for the day
Stings/burns upon application, which is also stated to be normal. Reminds me of tiger balm effect. After shampooing, the hair becomes very dry and straw-like, but that disappears when you apply the conditioner afterwards. The hair becomes voluminous after washing. But it only lasts for one day, and the next day my hair is a bit greasy and has lost volume again. I lose a lot of hair from this, but I haven't felt that I've gotten more or less hair. I've been using these for just over 2 weeks now and I already feel like I can notice a difference in my hair. It feels thicker, even though it hasn't been 30 days yet as it should take before you see results. My hair gets so smooth from this shampoo and conditioner. It feels both fluffy and smooth! I have been testing Nioxin System 1 for about three weeks, washing my hair every other to every third day. I have thin, flat, and uncolored hair, the typical Scandinavian hair. The shampoo has a thick consistency, which means it lasts a long time even though the conditioner doesn't last as long for me, since I have quite long hair. The product has a minty scent that gives a cooling sensation on the scalp, especially during the first uses. It felt strange to apply the conditioner to the scalp, as I am used to avoiding it to prevent an oily scalp. To my surprise, my hair didn't get oily right away, even though my hair type usually gets oily quickly. I still haven't figured out how to use the spray (step 3), whether it should be applied directly to the hair or on the hands and then to the hair. I've noticed that my hair feels less oily than usual, and that the shampoo seems to help keep it fresh longer between washes. Additionally, I feel like I'm losing less hair than before – it feels like I have less hair fall than before. I also have an improved feeling in my scalp as I usually tend to be dry.
