    Skeptical but effective

    I have used the products for a while and admit that I was initially skeptical. However, I find my hair to be healthier, livelier, and more manageable since these were added to my repertoire, so something must be working in any case.     I have tried the Nioxin System 1 Trial Kit for thin hair and I am really super satisfied! Already after a few weeks, I noticed that my hair felt both thicker and stronger. My hair looks fuller and feels healthier than it has in a long time. The shampoo cleanses the scalp deeply without drying it out, and the conditioner provides just the right amount of moisture without weighing it down.     Totally okay!

    I have been testing this kit for a few weeks now and my hair seems to like the products. The shampoo really smells like toothpaste, minty, which can be perceived as a strange scent for a hair product. You can also feel that it gets cool - which is a nice feeling. The hair feels rough after using the shampoo, but after the conditioner, it becomes soft, and after brushing and drying the hair, it is all shiny. The treatment was easy to apply, and my scalp did not turn red as it said it could. The shampoo feels fresh and really cleanses deeply, already at the first use it felt like my scalp could "breathe" and the pores opened up, which gave a very clean and refreshing feeling. The consistency is light and lathers just the right amount without drying out. However, I found that the conditioner dried my hair out a bit, especially in the lengths. Therefore, I chose to only use the conditioner on my scalp where it felt most effective, and complemented it with a more moisturizing conditioner for the ends.     Hair looks healthier

    I have used Nioxin System 1 for three weeks, three times a week, and I am generally satisfied. The shampoo has a quite thick consistency and lathers easily. A small amount is enough to cleanse my medium-length hair, which is a plus. The hair and scalp feel really clean after use. The conditioner, however, is quite lightweight, and I find that I need to use quite a bit to cover all of my hair properly. It moisturizes okay, but it doesn't make the hair particularly soft – at the same time, it doesn't feel dry either. The hair treatment spray has an almost water-like consistency. I notice that it stings a little in the scalp for the first 1-2 minutes after application, but it passes quickly. I haven't noticed any direct reduction in hair loss, but it has never been a big problem for me either. However, I feel that my hair looks healthier, and it stays clean for about two days. In summary, Nioxin 1 is a good system, and you can see improvements after a couple of weeks - the hair looks fuller and healthier, but you should have realistic expectations – it won't miraculously become thick.
