    Moisturizer for Combination Skin in Winter

    My skin type is combination with acne. In winter, the dry areas are typically on the chin and around the nose. With this cream used daily, my skin feels good, dryness stays away, and impurities have significantly decreased! The consistency is, in my opinion, suitably thick; I own 3 other moisturizers, so I took a comparative picture of their consistencies. Hwarang was the second thickest of these. However, the cream does not roll under foundation. I use both a brush and a makeup sponge for applying foundation, and the cream has never caused an uneven result! I definitely recommend this for combination skin that needs a protective and moisturizing cream under makeup or in general. I use aestura atobarrier 365 cream at night, which Korean dermatologists currently recommend the most, so I feel that it’s quite an achievement for Hwarang’s cream that I prefer it as a day cream over one of Korea’s most popular moisturizers!

    Lovely moisturizing cream

    Really soft and moisturizing cream for winter skin. The product's consistency is a bit thicker but absorbs extremely well and works effortlessly under makeup.

    The consistency and color are nice, but it didn't suit my dry and sensitive skin. It leaves a nice glow but my skin turned red after use and didn't hydrate enough during this winter. My skin felt tight after about 5 hours of use.

The product contains many moisturizing and soothing ingredients, such as ceramides and hyaluronic acid, which support the skin's protective barriers and are excellent for dry and sensitive skin. The redness could be due to either a high concentration of niacinamide or plant extracts that may irritate sensitive skin (this can be individual). Sometimes dry skin can also react just from applying something. It would be good to find out what the reaction is caused by so you can avoid similar ingredients in the future. This product is recommended to be applied to the skin as the last product. Underneath, you can use, for example, a facial toner and a moisturizing serum, and the product can also be applied on top of another cream if desired. Since the product binds moisture to the skin, it needs moisturizing products underneath to work as effectively as possible. Always remember to do a patch test with new products to ensure their suitability for your skin, especially if your skin is sensitive. Apply a small amount, for example, to the neck and wait 24-48 hours to observe any possible skin reactions. Have a nice day!

Hwarang' Bellflower Moisturizing Barrier Cream is a deeply nourishing moisturizer with a perfect balance of hydration and glow. Packed with powerful ingredients to protect and strengthen your skin barrier, including ceramide NP, panthenol, ectoine and PGA (Poly-Glutamic Acid), the cream works especially well for dry, normal and sensitive skin. More than fifty percent of the skin barrier consists of ceramides, and the quantity and quality of these natural ceramides can diminish due to harsh environmental conditions. This loss can be countered with ceramide-based skincare to restore the skin barrier, and ceramides works exceptionally well with other restoring and hydrating ingredients like glycerin, panthenol, ectoine, polyglutamic acid, squalane, and niacinamide. (This moisturizer contains all of them!) Bellflower Moisturizing Barrier Cream contains 1% panthenol, or provitamin B5, that attracts and retains moisture on the skin's surface, while also soothing irritated and damaged skin. With its hydrating and soothing effects, regular use can improve skin texture and elasticity. Poly-Glutamic Acid (PGA) is a peptide found in naturally fermented soybean foods. Ectoine is an amino acid produced naturally by microorganisms to protect cells in extreme environments such as deserts, salt lakes, and hot springs. Its strong water-binding properties are useful in hydrating the skin, and it also has an anti-inflammatory and soothing effect, making it ideal for sensitive and irritated skin. Bellflower Moisturizing Barrier Cream creates a calming moisture barrier on the skin after application and helps lock moisture into the skin with the help of the the powerful active ingredients.
