Beyond expectations!!
At first, I was a bit skeptical when I saw the product's texture. I thought it would be grainier than it was. The product also smells a bit special, kind of like chicken feed, which isn't so strange considering the ingredients. The smell isn't strong and not as weird as it might sound. Better that than strong perfume. The mask does a fantastic job of moisturizing and plumping the skin. I usually have very dry skin, especially after washing my face (and now that the air is starting to get dry and cold). After rinsing off this mask, my skin is not dry or tight at all (which has often happened when I've used moisturizing gel masks). Love Beauty of Joseon, but
I didn't really feel like this did much... My skin felt pretty much the same as before I put it on. Budget-friendly K-beauty alternative to Lush's Oatifix
This is a moisturizing and gently physically exfoliating mild face mask. Very economical packaging, you use about half a teaspoon of product at a time. It reminds me of Lush's iconic fresh oat mask, which has been discontinued, both in texture and effect. The “weird” scent mentioned in product reviews is the same fermented sweetness as in Oatifix and, for example, in several Whamisan products. Beauty of Joseon Ground Rice and Honey Glow Mask is a product I like to bring out when my skin feels a bit tired and I want to do something extra for it. I really enjoy the feeling of ending the evening with a face mask and just letting the skincare take a little more space. 🤍 What I like right away is the texture. It feels creamy and lovely to apply and is easy to spread over the skin. I like when a mask feels properly nourishing but at the same time comfortable to wear. After use, the skin feels softer, hydrated, and fresh. Above all, I think the skin gets a nice, slightly more “plumped” feeling and looks more awake. ✨ What makes the mask extra interesting is the combination of ground rice and honey.
