Dry mascara
I was happy when I got to test this luxury mascara! I was less happy when I discovered that the tube was unsealed and not really closed. Unfortunately, the review is based on the fact that the mascara seemed dry and old, but I have to go by the product I received. My eyelashes are long and sparse. They are hard to style, and the result easily becomes spider-leg-like. The brush was big, clunky, and unnecessarily tricky. It is twisted at 40 degrees and easily picks up too much product. However, it is sturdy, and you get a good grip. The result was unfortunately clumped lashes with lumps at the ends, i.e., the result I usually get with an old mascara. The color is nice, and the mascara holds up in wet and dry conditions all day without flaking and smudging. In the evening, I do my usual cleansing routine for the lashes, water, remover, and micellar water, and all mascara traces disappear. It's sad to only give two stars, but that’s due to dried product, a difficult brush, and a horrendous price. LYX-just as good as it is beautiful
I have tried one of Lancôme's newer mascaras that promises both volume and length – and I must say it delivers. First of all, it feels very luxurious, both in design and feel. The packaging is sleek and really gives an exclusive vibe even before you apply the product. The result on the lashes is impressive. They get both nice volume and clear length, while staying up all day without falling down. A big plus is that it doesn't flake or smudge around the eyes when I sweat at the gym, which is otherwise a common problem with many mascaras. The formula is also easy to build up. You can apply multiple layers without the lashes clumping together, which allows you to customize the look from natural to more festive. The only negative is the price. It is definitely an expensive mascara, and there are absolutely cheaper alternatives that are also good. But if you want to treat yourself to something a little more luxurious, it is definitely worth trying. I am participating in a test panel and received a free test product.78 views
