Hair oil I find really hard to find for my hair. Many oils make my hair greasy, even flatter and dull, so it was with a mix of fear and excitement that I saw I would be testing this oil as a #lykoinflutester. Now I will tell you how it went, but first a little about my hair: • Thin and lacks volume on its own. • Gets greasy quickly at the roots but the lengths remain somewhat dry. • Usually use a small amount of oil both in towel-dried hair and as a finishing touch after styling. About the product: • Perfect packaging that pumps out a suitable amount of oil. • Again, I need to mention the scent as I am not a big fan of citrus/lavender/unisex, but in this case, it works anyway as the scent is not as overpowering as the shampoo/conditioner in the series. • Just the right consistency, easy to warm up and distribute in the hair. • Contains heat protection up to 230 degrees. (Good complement, but I wouldn’t only use this for heat protection.) The result: Impressed! Does not split my hair into greasy strips and does not make my hair greasy. If I take almost a full pump in damp hair and then the same amount when the hair is styled, it gives such a fresh look to the hair. Shiny without weighing down my thin hair in any way! This oil works well with other base products I’ve used, so you don’t need to invest in the whole series to see results! Works, but smells very strong!
I have thin Nordic hair that is a bit bleached in the lengths. Before I started testing the Metal DX series from L’Oréal Professional, my hair was dry and frizzy. It needed both moisture and shine. The oil comes in a nice bottle, with good quality on the pump. It is a bit thick, so if you have thin hair like me, I recommend a small pump in wet hair. Tip!: make sure to "warm"/rub the product well in your hands before applying, so you avoid weighing down the hair or it feeling unevenly distributed. As mentioned in the title, the oil works very well for my hair type. I found that it became shinier and healthier. But.. and this is a big BUT, the entire Metal DX series smells, according to feedback from me, my partner, and several of my friends, veeeery strong!! I simply had to give up testing after a week and a half, as I felt like I was walking around smelling like a men's wardrobe. The series smells very similar to Axe body spray for men, not a scent I personally prefer to be associated with. (I received several comments on this, without anyone knowing I had these products in.) Will not buy again
Pretty okay oil, it smells special and is thick and slow-flowing which doesn't suit my thinner hair. It took away frizz well but unfortunately weighs my hair down and it looks greasy quite quickly. Change in the formula?
Has L'Oreal changed the formula in this oil? The new version is runny and doesn't feel nearly as nourishing as the old one, which unfortunately makes it a completely different product that I would no longer recommend.1189 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. Hair that breaks off.
I understand this is mainly for the lengths? I have hair that breaks off 2-3 cm from the scalp, but this might get too greasy and heavy in that case? Oil in a new format
I have not had a very positive experience with hair oils. I always felt uncomfortable, my hair seemed greasy. Now I have it, with a masculine scent (for those who are single, the scent of the oil will give the feeling of a man's presence in your hair, like after a hot hug😍). This may be a joke and a warning for people who value or are sensitive to fragrances on their body. This product is like a healing essence, not very similar to oil, dries quickly on hair, softens it even with daily use. Hair looks well-groomed, soft, shiny. I wash my hair once every 4 days. I don't use a flat iron. I dry it with a hair dryer. I am very happy with the result. I recommend it. Very good hair oil that gives a nice result
As a #lykoinflutester, I have now been testing a series consisting of four products from #lorealpro's Metal Dx series for three weeks. I have thick, straight, long, and natural hair. I usually use hair products that I have been recommended here in Lyko's hair test and wash my hair every other day. But it's always exciting to try new products😊 Of the four products in the series, I must say that this hair oil was my favorite. I have switched between the leave-in cream and the hair oil as a finishing touch after shampoo and hair mask. Both do a good job for my hair, but the hair oil is probably the one that gives the best result for my hair. I find it to be more «collecting» for my broken hair strands, making them less prominent. Additionally, it gives a nice and shiny hair. The pump bottle makes it easy to dose the right amount. I warm the oil in my hands before applying it to the ends and the lower part of my hair. Lovely hair oil 😍
I have tested this hair oil together with the other products in the same series, and have used it on freshly washed towel-dried hair after showering for a month. I think the hair oil is great for my wavy/curly hair ☺️ It defines the curls and reduces frizz while making the hair shiny ✨ I also think it smells really good, a bit citrusy with some heavier notes at the base. The scent gets better and better throughout the day, especially if I have it in a hair clip.
