I never thought the OG beautiblender was worth the price because they always break, like the second time I wash it. I wash my sponge before every makeup, which is about 4 times a week, so I require the sponges I use to be extremely durable. This one is moderately firm when wet, not as soft as the OG BB but not as hard as I think Real Techniques are. It holds up extremely well and is soooo easy to clean completely. Which I also think many sponges are not. I don't feel like it soaks up a lot of product or more than any other sponge.
