Rose in the shadow invites you to a ritual that belongs to October. The dark red winterapples is carfully collected and placed in the winecellar which envirment is humid, cold and has flavours such minerals and dark wood. When leaving the winecellar the red climbingrose is standing in the shadow of a tree dressed in morning dew.
Notes: raspberry, bilberry, magnolia alba, coriander seeds, red rose, rose, rose damsacena absolute, orris, patchouli, cedarwood, frankincens, laurel, musk.
Use:

I love Savour fragrances! 😍
This is an unique and interesting take on roses. Like the name suggests, the roses are indeed in the shadow. Don't expect a pink, girly, soft rosy scent, because it's not. It's more of a patchouli forward (I don't sense it earthy) and orris, blended with spices. I can get the coriander and the pepper,a soft powderiness, a floral touch in the background and hints of fruitiness.
This is very potent, a bit dark and mysterious I would dare to say.
The roses I get from here are not pink like the scent you get from Rose de May, it's almost like a red rose when starts to fade.
ROSE in the SHADOW is very deep and complex. With every sniff I can get something new, it's like it has many phase of metamorphosis. It's not linear at all on my skin. Once it dries down I sense woodsy notes, some incency whiffs and a cooling, refreshing touch, like it would have eucaliptus in it ( although not listed as a note ). At this point the patchouli it gets softer. Rose in the Shadow is one of those fragrances that made me love patchouli.
This is a beautiful fragrance and if you want something sophisticated, unique, that will make you stand out in the crowd and mysterious you need this fragrance.
