What super ingredients are in Neutriherbs - Argan Oil + Shea Butter?
Argan oil is a yellow vegetable oil originating in Morocco. Argan oil is very nutritious and contains many good fatty acids and vitamins, including vitamin E and vitamin A. Argan oil has been used for many hundreds of years and is very popular. Thanks to its antioxidant properties, high levels of the fatty omega-6 acid linoleic acid and general healing effect, it is a perfect ingredient in nourishing skin care products. If you suffer from dry skin, the argan oil helps to make your skin smooth and soft again. But if you find that you instead have oily and greasy skin, the oil is at least as useful. Argan oil's one property is also that it helps the skin counteract the overproduction of sebum, which is a contributing cause of oily skin. In addition, argan oil is naturally rich in antioxidants such as vitamin E and fatty acids such as Omega-6. Vitamin E makes the oil prevent scarring, accelerate healing and soothe irritated skin. Omega-6 has an anti-inflammatory effect that is considered helpful in relieving problem skin such as acne, psoriasis and eczema.
Shea butter has been used for thousands of years in Africa for its highly moisturizing properties and ability to retain moisture in the skin. Shea butter is not only a wonderful emollient but also rich in vitamins A and E – antioxidants that have several wonderful properties for the skin. Vitamin A, for example, is one of the most studied vitamins in skin care, and above all the potent form of vitamin A (retinol) has a strengthening and renewing effect on the skin. Therefore, vitamin A is particularly good for people with thin, fragile or sun-damaged skin that needs to be rebuilt. Vitamin E, on the other hand, is also a well-known repair vitamin that is particularly known to counteract the formation of free radicals in the skin, a process that can otherwise accelerate the breakdown of the skin and premature aging. Shea butter thus contains both softening, repairing and nourishing ingredients for the skin - something that is particularly appreciated by the dry skin barrier.
Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Sporocarp extract, also known as snow mushroom, this plant extract is a rich source of polysaccharides and has shown an ability to help hydrate the skin by binding moisture to its surface.
Purslane or Portulaca Oleracea contains powerful antioxidants that stimulate collagen and cell repair resulting in the reduction of wrinkles and even scarring. Copper promotes skin plumping hyaluronic acid and manganese activates antioxidant enzymes. Purslane promotes the anti-aging enzyme telomerase which protects the cells' DNA repair function which acts as a regenerative fountain of youth for your skin. Purslane has the highest levels of omega-3 fatty acids of any vegetable. Omega-3s are important for keeping cell walls permeable to release nutrients and toxins. It also has CoQ10 which helps to keep the skin intact, smooth and toned.
Centella Asiatica Studies show that Centella Asiatica is not just a passing fad – it actually has benefits for the skin, thanks to its active compounds, including madecassoside, which acts as an antioxidant. Centella Asiatica itself has also been shown to have potent antioxidant properties and to be a rich source of amino acids, and there is further research showing that it is a good moisturizing ingredient to soothe irritated skin and skin with rosacea. There is evidence that products with Centella Asiatica can help revitalize the skin's protective barrier, plus it can alleviate some of the visible effects of sun damage. The Nelumbo Nucifera Flower extract (Lotus seed extract) has mainly been shown to be useful as an antioxidant. However, research into its anti-aging potential is still ongoing. Various ingredients in lotus seeds act as powerful antioxidants and free radicals. When applied to the surface of the skin, it can protect it from harmful free radicals and replace structural protein. So the structural damage due to the free radicals can be inhibited and reversed. It also has antimicrobial properties. When used in a product, it can work in two ways, it can not only protect the skin but also save the product from spoiling due to microbial contamination. When applied to the skin, it forms a layer on the skin that protects the skin from external harmful factors such as wind, dust or microbes. It also preserves the skin's inherent moisture and makes the skin well hydrated. The tannins present in the extract act as astringents. It can denature the skin protein such as dead skin cells, dead bacteria and help the skin to clean and improve the complexion of the skin.
Hyaluronic acid is the beauty shelf's smartest moisture magnet. It is also a substance that is found naturally in the body's tissues, including eyes, joints and above all, the skin, and since the body reduces the production of Hyaluronic acid already from the age of 25, it is smart to replenish it from the outside. Hyaluronic acid attracts and binds water, making it both a moisture magnet and moisture reservoir. Hyaluronic acid holds up to 1000 times its weight in water, which makes it valuable for a hydrated skin and for elasticity. In the skin, Hyaluronic acid forms a jelly-like consistency that acts as a filler between the skin's collagen and elastin, filling the skin from the inside. Hyaluronic acid also increases cell activity in the skin, and makes it more resistant to free radicals.
Aloe Vera is a powerful, natural ingredient that has intensive moisturizing, softening, antibacterial and soothing properties. Aloe Vera has been used for thousands of years to e.g. soothe burnt or sun-damaged skin. Aloe Vera's acid helps to clear pores.
Caffeine contains antioxidants, which help to "lift" your skin. Caffeine has the ability to constrict small blood vessels and reduce inflammation. Caffeine's anti-inflammatory & dehydrating properties are excellent here as it draws excess fluid from fat cells to improve appearance.
