More about IPL:

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light and is designed to break the cycle of hair growth by targeting the hair root or hair follicle. Light energy is transmitted through the surface of the skin and is absorbed by the melanin present in the hair follicle. The absorbed light energy is converted into heat energy (below the skin surface), which inactivates the hair follicle and prevents further growth. IPL is similar in a way to Laser, but Laser is concentrated and IPL uses a much wider range of light in different colors and wavelengths. Both methods target the melanin in the hair follicle and can give long-lasting results.

SmoothSkin Bare+ is activated only if the skin tone sensor detects a valid skin tone reading and is in full contact with the treatment area. Activate the device on any surface other than the skin. SmoothSkin Bare+ is not recommended for use on red, gray or very light hair as it is not effective on these hair colors. SmoothSkin Bare+ emits flashes of intense pulsating light, do not look directly into the treatment window. Do not treat areas around the eye (eyebrows or eyelashes). The product can be used to treat the upper lip, chin, cheek, jaw and neck. Do not use if you have very dark skin (see skin tone list). Dark skin can absorb too much light energy and damage your skin (eg burns, blisters, discoloration or scars). Avoid treatment if you have recently used tan without sun or tanning, tanned skin is extra sensitive to IPL treatment. Avoid unprotected exposure to direct sunlight after IPL treatment, your skin may be extra sensitive, use sunscreen (SPF 15 or higher) or cover the skin. Do not use directly on the nipples, genitals or around the anus. These areas may have a darker skin color and / or greater hair density. Avoid use if you have skin diseases, medical conditions or use medicines that affect the skin, always check the instructions for use to see if photosensitivity is listed as a side effect. If you are still unsure about using SmoothSkin Bare+, consult a doctor. SmoothSkin Bare+ has never been tested for use during pregnancy or lactation, and should therefore not be used in such cases.

Use:
It is important to read the user guide on SmoothSkin's website (downloadable) before use.

1. Remove all visible hair from the treatment area.
2. Plug the appliance into the wall socket
Before the first treatment, do a test on a small area. Wait 24 hours to ensure that your skin is suitable for treatment.
4. Choose one of the two treatment methods, slide or stamp.
5. For optimal results, SmoothSkin Bare+ should be used once a week for 12 weeks.
6. After the first treatment phase (12 weeks), it is recommended that SmoothSkin Bare+ be used once a month or as needed to maintain results.
