This silk face mask with leopard print is pre-shaped and therefore has a comfortable shape for most faces. It’s a reusable commuter face mask (non-medical grade). The mask is crafted from luxurious silk on the outside and cotton sheeting on the inside, which are both washable in the wash machine. The pattern is an original Heijne hand drawn design.

Additionally the silk mask has a pocket opening inside for the insert of a filter. One washable Spunbond filter (recommended by The WHO) is included.

SIZING

This mask is medium sized and fits most adults, women and men. For small or large sizes we recommend our Silk Face mask Standard.

MATERIAL AND CARE

-Our silk masks are tested successfully for washing on 60°.
-We recommend washing the mask after every use with delicate wash, 30°. That will clean the mask sufficiently. Every now and then you can wash the mask on 60 degrees for sanitation.
-The outer fabric is 100% silk crepe and the inside 100% cotton
-The included filter is Spunbond non-Woven 100% Polypropylene

Tips for responsible mask use:

-Wash you hands before putting on the mask.
-Always handle the mask from the ear loop straps when wearing or removing.
-Wash you hands after removing your mask.

What is a face mask used for?
Facemasks help limit the spread of germs. When someone talks, coughs, or sneezes they may release tiny drops into the air that can infect others. If someone is ill a face masks can reduce the number of germs that the wearer releases and can protect other people from becoming sick. A face mask also protects the wearer’s nose and mouth from splashes or sprays of body fluids.
Putting on the mask: 1. Clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer before touching the mask. 2. Adjust the ear loops to make the mask fit. Take the mask holding the ear loops. Make sure you put the right part of the mask over your nose. (see position-explanation) 3. The mask fits too tight or loose, adjust the elastic ear loops for a better fitting. 4. Wear the mask max 4 hours or until the inside gets damp. If you need to wear a face mask longer than 4 hours, you should bring a spare one to swop to.
Position: The upper part of the mask has a sewn in wire. This part should go over your nose. Press and adjust the wire so that if feels comfortable and holds you mask in place.
Taking of the mask: 1. Clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer before touching the mask. 2. Take the mask off holding the ear loops. Try to avoid taking the fabric in your hand for hygiene and contamination reasons. 3. Put it in a plastic bag, for example the included bag used as packaging.
Washing • Wash your face mask after every use. • We recommend hand washing with warm or hot water and soap for at least 20 seconds. You can wash the mask with the filter included. It's important to note that every wash reduces filters' effectiveness. • If you use machine wash, on 30 – 60 degrees, put the mask in a washing bag. • For peace of mind, you can iron the mask with hot steam on the inside. This will kill any left-over gems
Filters The filters are washable. You can wash them separately or together with the mask. We recommend changing to a new filter after 5 times washing.
