The peeling effect is really nice and it didn't really stop me from putting liptick on top of the balm whenever i wanted to leave the balm on, basically.
I don't think that the balm really lasts on the lips. A few minutes later, my lips are dry again. I can't really say why.
But generally, it's a nice balm with some nice peeling action.
Its thickness is what you expect from beewax balms and it has some sweetness from the sugar crystals.
