    There’s nothing better!

    I have been a fan of the original sunscreen from the same brand, so I was very excited about this one too when I ordered it. I have sensitive combination skin that tends to react to new products, but I didn’t react to this sunscreen at all⭐ It feels light on the skin, absorbs quickly, and gives a neutral (more matte than glowy) finish on the skin. No whitecast and sits beautifully under makeup! This is the best sunscreen I have tested so far, and I will probably use it regularly from now on 🥰 #lykoreview

    Don't like the finish

    Unpopular opinion, but I hate the finish of this sunscreen. It's horrible under makeup. Any foundation/corrector I tried is patchy and uneaven on top of it and starts pilling right away. I absolutely love the original Beauty of Joseon sunscreen, so I was quite disappointed with this one. It's fine as long as I don't wear anything else on that day, but even then, I just don't love the texture of my skin after applying this.

    Did not fully meet expectations

    Unfortunately, the product did not fully meet my expectations. The consistency is pleasantly light and nice, but it rolls off easily over most face creams, and if you try to apply sunscreen a bit more generously, the makeup does not settle nicely on top. However, a big plus is that there is no alcohol in this, and it did not irritate my sensitive skin that has been dried out by Roaccutane, unlike many other sunscreens. The price is also affordable, which makes it worth trying. It will likely work better over simpler skincare routines or on makeup-free days.

    Positively Surprised

    Light and moisturizing! I was a bit nervous about how it would work with makeup, but this worked extremely well. There’s some magic in this as it makes the skin look better even without makeup. It doesn’t roll off unless you really scrub your face 😁 #lykoreview

    Is this waterproof? It works better than the previous SPF since I have rosacea. I don't react to this at all. But I would have liked a waterproof one.

    Lovely, nourishing but not greasy 😍

    A bit thicker but easily spreadable sunscreen. Has been on combination skin for 3 hours, and hasn't added shine! 💖 I really like this product, my skin feels soft and protected, but it doesn't look greasy! 🙏 #lykoreview

    Such an incredibly light texture and absorbs so quickly and nicely into the skin! Doesn't feel like sunscreen (the classic sticky, greasy feeling) at all, just like a lovely hydrating light moisturizer really! Perfect sunscreen for use under makeup, plus no pilling or white cast. I’ve been incredibly positively surprised by Korean sunscreens, as I’ve always struggled to use sunscreen because I don’t like the feeling of it, which hasn’t been a problem anymore after k beauty spf💕 Beauty of Joseon is the first brand I tried with sunscreen that I genuinely love, so it will always have a special place in my heart and on my bathroom shelf!😄 #lykoreview

    It is quite a lightweight, non-sticky, and well-absorbing SPF with a very light aroma. It has a creamy consistency rather than a gel-like consistency. However, it can peel a bit if you apply makeup. I assume it is better to wait around 15 minutes before doing it.

      The way sunscreen protects you is by forming a uniform film over your skin (physical/mineral and chemical/organic both work the same). During the day, by moving your face, sweat, water or rubbing against clothes/hair etc this even film gets disrupted so that you no longer have full coverage. That is why it is recommended to re-apply sunscreen every two hours to keep the full protection. How often you need to re-apply really depends on you. Do you move around a lot and sweat much? Then re-application is a good idea. Are you just sitting still indoors away from windows? Probably no need to re-apply until you go outside again. Hope that helps! 💜
