Gives glow âš
This is a facial cleanser that gives a lot of glow - and works perfectly in conjunction with the rest of the Snail series from Cosrx đ The cleanser has a gel-like consistency that lathers well during use and has a faint scent 𫧠After cleansing, the skin feels smooth and shiny. I have a combination/oily skin type, so this didn't quite suit me as I prefer to remove the shiny/oily feeling on my skin and have other needs. Skin type: Combination, rosacea and acne-prone. Rating: â Not recommended for reactive or very sensitive skin. Experienceđ§Œ The cleanser was tested for a week. The result was a strong inflammatory reaction, with breakouts comparable in extent and severity to cystic acne. It was purchased by mistake, thinking it was the brand's moisturizer, which I am otherwise very satisfied with. Properties: âą Texture: The product contains a concentration of snail slime. In this cleanser, I feel that it causes the gel to form a strong film on the skin that is difficult to remove. âą Irritation: Due to the gel's viscosity, it feels very difficult to rinse off with water alone. This forces me to scrub more to remove product residues. For a sensitive skin barrier, this friction is a direct trigger for inflammation. If the product is not removed 100%, the snail slime residue can act occlusively. For acne-prone and sensitive skin, this can trap sebum and bacteria under the surface, which may explain my reaction. What I should have done differently: I should have stopped testing earlier as rosacea flared up from the start, but since the skin didnât feel stripped, I thought the reaction was temporary. The difficult removal of the product counteracts the benefits of the soothing ingredients. A fantastic cleanser for the money!
If you feel like you want to hop on the Korean beauty train but aren't quite sure where to start, I can warmly recommend this! It's incredibly economical, which is a big plus since the packaging is large and the price is good. I know many find it difficult to work with, but I think it just comes down to knowing how to use it. I take barely a pea-sized amount in my hand, rub my palms together, and then apply it to my face. You can quickly tell if you've used too much - but that just means you need to rinse a little extra, so it's not the end of the world. But OJ, does it cleanse well. I found it hard to remove the Maybelline Sky High mascara, but this takes it off so easily! My skin doesn't feel tight afterward, just soft and clean. Here, it's really less is more.
