MAIN INGREDIENTS

COUPERESIL constitutes a valuable composition of various plant-based components:
- Oil extract from balloon vine, rich in phytosterols.
- Oil from blackcurrant seeds, high in polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially linoleic acid, γ-linolenic acid, and α-linolenic acid.
- Special ingredients from sunflower, such as phytosterols, tocopherols, and squalane.
This active ingredient has been created specifically to address chronically inflamed skin, such as atopic dermatitis and couperose, as well as sensitive and irritated skin affected by factors such as UV radiation, climate, and allergens. COUPERESIL soothes irritated skin by regenerating, strengthening, and protecting the skin barrier with its valuable ingredients. A well-functioning skin barrier is crucial for combating inflammation. Essential unsaturated fatty acids like linoleic acid, γ-linolenic acid, and α-linolenic acid can be absorbed by the skin and converted into valuable ceramides, special fats, and waxes needed to maintain a strong and intact skin barrier. Additionally, certain unsaturated fatty acids and phytosterols have an anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting proinflammatory enzymes. Symptoms of inflamed skin, such as redness and itching, visibly and noticeably improve with the use of COUPERESIL.

AZELAIC COMPLEX
The Azelaic Complex used here consists of azelaic acid, chamomile extract, and the potassium salt of glycyrrhizic acid (ingredient from licorice root). Thus, Azelaic Complex is a combination of various natural ingredients and extracts said to have a soothing effect on the skin. The Azelaic Complex used in this product works synergistically with the Azelaic Complex in Medical Institute Skin Booster 10% Azelaic Serum. For particularly effective care, it is therefore recommended to use the products in combination.

COUPEROCALM
Couperocalm is a tetrapeptide specially designed to alleviate the appearance of couperose, particularly the associated symptoms of redness and telangiectasia. Couperocalm targets two relevant mechanisms in the skin:
Reduces the level of specific inflammatory mediators in the skin (interleukin IL-6 and IL-8).
Inhibits collagenase (collagen-degrading enzyme), reducing collagen loss. Thanks to these mechanisms of action, Couperocalm improves the appearance of the skin. It reduces the intensity of skin redness and decreases the area affected by redness. Additionally, Couperocalm inhibits key enzymes of melanin synthesis (tyrosinase), counteracting hyperpigmentation.
PALMITOYL TRIPEPTIDE-5
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 is a synthetic tripeptide with a unique amino acid sequence, developed specifically as an anti-aging/anti-wrinkle peptide. It significantly increases collagen production while protecting against collagen breakdown. Visible results include the reduction of wrinkles, the decrease in wrinkle depth, and the smoothing of the skin's microrelief.
ALLANTOIN
Allantoin is a proven, multi-active ingredient. It promotes skin regeneration and has a soothing effect on the skin.
PANTHENOL
Panthenol is a provitamin that can be converted into vitamin B5. It is a soothing active ingredient that stabilizes the skin's protective barrier and improves the skin's ability to retain moisture.
REDNESS COMPENSATOR
Redness Compensator gives the cream its green color (combination of yellow and blue color pigments). Thus, skin redness can be visually concealed. The skin tone appears more even.
VALUABLE PLANT LIPIDS:
SHEA BUTTER is extracted from the seeds of fruits from the shea tree (Butyrospermum parkii). The seed resembles a horse chestnut and contains about 45-48% fat. Shea butter is rich in stearic acid and oleic acid and is characterized by its unique skin compatibility.
EVENING PRIMROSE OIL, extracted from the seeds of Evening Primrose, is produced by gentle cold pressing. Evening Primrose is an herbaceous plant that typically grows in North America and Europe, known for its beautiful yellow flowers that bloom in the evening and at night, giving the plant its name. Cold pressing protects the valuable fatty acids, such as linoleic acid and linolenic acid, from being affected by high heat. The rich oil nourishes and protects the skin while providing moisture and leaving the skin soft and supple.
ARGAN OIL is extracted from the seeds of the argan tree. The seeds contain 30 to 55% oil, with about 80% consisting of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid and linoleic acid. Other valuable ingredients include vitamin E, phytosterols, and squalene.
OLIVE OIL obtained through cold pressing is rich in valuable, unsaturated fatty acids (primarily oleic acid). It makes the skin feel soft and smooth.
DMC (Derma Membrane Complex) is structurally very similar to the lipids in the skin layer, and its ingredients are based on components naturally found in the skin.
