I have now used these products for over a month. I want to start by saying that I love these products❤️ I have had very dry skin and a lot of pigmentation, and after using the Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum, my skin has become more even and hydrated! The only downside I can think of is that it’s easy to accidentally take too much of the product. I also tried the Eye Repair Cream! I have dark circles under my eyes, and I find that with this product, they have disappeared more and more! It also feels less dry since I have dry eyes that water, which makes the skin under my eyes dry and sensitive, but the eye cream hydrates there so well! 💧 A really good hydrating serum!
CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum is one of those products I find very easy to appreciate. When the skin feels dry, tight, or just needs a little extra moisture, this is exactly the type of serum I like to reach for. 🤍 I really like the texture. It feels light and smooth and is easy to work into the skin without feeling heavy. The best part is that the skin feels softer and more hydrated afterward, yet still fresh. What makes the serum extra interesting is the combination of hyaluronic acid, three essential ceramides, and vitamin B5. The hyaluronic acid helps to provide moisture to the skin, while the ceramides feel like a really good complement for the skin barrier. I really like that combination because I want both moisture and skin that feels well cared for. ✨ I also think it’s a very easy serum to incorporate into your regular routine. A few drops after cleansing and then a moisturizer on top. It doesn’t need to be more complicated than that, which I really appreciate. After use, the skin feels soft, smooth, and hydrated without that annoying feeling of the serum sitting on top of the skin. It also works well with other skincare products, making it very easy to use both morning and night. I also like that CeraVe keeps the design simple and functional. It really feels like a product where the focus is on the skincare itself. If you’re looking for a simple and reliable serum for extra hydration, I definitely think this is worth trying. But there are some important differences in how they are formulated and how they feel on the skin. CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum is more “barrier-focused.” It contains hyaluronic acid but also ceramides and often more soothing, reparative ingredients that help the skin barrier retain moisture over time. This makes it often feel a bit more “creamy” and nourishing, especially for sensitive or dry skin. While The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 is more minimalist and focused on hydration itself with several types of hyaluronic acid + panthenol (B5).
