Basically nothing happens to the hair when I use it. I can't get curls or even bend the ends. The little that does happen goes straight again in a short time.

I understand that it can be frustrating when the results don't turn out as expected. When the curls don't hold, it can often be due to the tool's diameter, technique, and prep work. To achieve clearer curls, it might be good to use smaller sections of hair and perhaps a narrower tool.
