Very glittery and not so functional
#lykotestpilot #estellethild I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review. The bronzer comes in a nice beige packaging with a mirror inside. Unfortunately, the paper material covering the packaging is, well, paper – so it’s impossible to remove the tape that keeps the bronzer closed without tearing the nice packaging, so now there is ugly white paper sticking out on the side of the packaging. A bit disappointing that this wasn’t considered when designing the packaging. When you open the bronzer, it looks very luxurious, it kind of bulges out and looks incredibly nice! Unfortunately, this unusual shape makes it quite difficult to get the right amount of product on the brush. I wish the product was significantly flatter. When I start applying the bronzer to my face, there isn’t too much product at once, which was very good for me because this shade was both too dark and too orange for my skin tone. But when I start building up a bit more just to see how the product works if you use more than a little, I get disappointed again. It is really incredibly, truly, very glittery. And I love glitter! But not at my hairline. And I can’t imagine when it would be appropriate to use an ultra-glittery bronzer. I have highlighters from other brands that promise a glowing result, but even those are more glossy than glittery. So unfortunately, I can’t recommend this one. Lovely everyday eyeshadows!
#lykotestpilot #estellethild I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review. Eyeshadow is the most fun to try new things with, so I was really looking forward to testing these! The packaging is so nice and sleek in beige, and the fact that it’s so small and durable makes it perfect to have in the bag. I appreciate that the colors are in a cool tone; for a while, it felt like all new eyeshadows were warm-toned, so these colors are a fun change. Probably fits especially well on anyone with a cool undertone! The shadows have a wide and nice variation of colors; it doesn’t feel like two colors are too similar, which easily happens in larger palettes. You can easily combine them for a neutral everyday makeup look. I would describe the texture of the shadow as on the drier side. The shadow isn’t creamy at all (which I think is the best texture for blending nicely) but feels more like a powder. It still works quite well to create smooth transitions between shades – but it probably would feel easier with a creamier formula. I think the shadow lasts well and long throughout the day, and the result is a nice everyday look. Lots of color and volume! Doesn’t clump
I received this mascara in exchange for an honest review! I’ve been lucky with my eyelashes; they’re already quite thick and long, so volume mascara is rarely what I go for. I usually opt for a mascara that focuses more on length and definition. The problem then is that the mascara takes an incredibly long time! Because I have to build up the effect slowly and carefully. That’s why volume mascara probably works better for me in everyday life. With this one, it takes at most a minute per eye to get the result I like. The color is dark even though the mascara isn’t black, but I think the brown color really makes it feel more natural. The downside is that it can get a bit clumpy, but not as much as some other volume mascaras I’ve had. So on that front, I still feel the clumps aren’t a big problem. As long as you know when to stop (as with all volume mascaras), you can also avoid it getting messy and giving a “spider leg” vibe. In the picture, I applied two fairly thin coats and in my opinion, it didn’t look too thick. I’ve used the mascara several times and haven’t gotten “spider” mascara, so on that front, this one gets a thumbs up from me. I think I would have preferred a bit more length from this one, but I really appreciate how quickly I get a visible result. I like the shape of the brush, easy to use without poking the eye! Nice tube in neutral beige. Soft and effective
I got to try this brush for free in exchange for an honest review! For me, eyeshadow is the most fun part of makeup, and since I always use different palettes and colors, I wash my brushes after every use. That’s why they wear out within a few years and become “sharp” against the eyelid and need to be replaced. So I really appreciate a new, soft brush! I’ve used the brush a few times now to apply a light, bright base and to blend the eyeshadow, and for the latter it’s really good. It feels soft against the eyelid but still has firmness to its shape. So the bristles don’t spread out during use. That’s why the rounded tip blends the eyeshadow really well, I think. It feels and looks really good, and especially with the price I can only recommend it! Much better than foot cream!
So I had managed to buy a foot cream (which was placed among face creams??) at a pharmacy. Disaster, of course. To avoid wasting it, I tried using it for a couple of weeks. My almost problem-free skin became spotty and felt greasy all the time. And my face smelled like mint. Eventually, I gave up and bought this one. Especially in contrast, it felt magical. Where the mint had been, it is now fragrance-free. Instead of a greasy feeling, this one quickly settled on the skin and dried so you didn’t have to think about it. The packaging is also so nice; for me, it’s important that I feel happy when I see the packaging. And the gel consistency is so refreshing! This feels perfect for those with normal skin who just want to moisturize a little after showering. And for us who don’t want foot cream on our face.
