    Alternative to vitamin c serum

Hi! I seem to have started reacting to vitamin c serum. It worked so well last summer, but my skin is rougher and redder now. Is there something I can use instead? Could the serum from Joseon be an alternative?

Hi Anja 👋 The skin can definitely change over time and react differently to products you previously tolerated well, especially if the skin barrier is a bit weakened or sensitivity has increased. If your skin has become rougher and redder, it may indicate that it is more sensitive now, and then vitamin C (especially in higher concentrations or with low pH) can irritate. So it’s smart to take a break and instead go for something milder and more strengthening. This serum might suit you very well now, as it contains: -Rice milk extract (68%) is soothing, moisturizing, and evens out skin tone – perfect for sensitive skin. -Alpha Arbutin (2%) gently brightens pigmentation without irritating like vitamin C sometimes can. -It is free from fragrance and essential oils, which is good for reactive skin 💪 -It is a very mild and balancing serum that can help with glow and a more even skin tone without stressing the skin, so it sounds like a good alternative for you now! 🌟Tip: Start by using the serum once daily (e.g. morning) and see how your skin reacts. Feel free to combine it with a soothing moisturizer and sunscreen during the day. If the skin is very sensitive, also consider introducing products with panthenol, centella, or ceramides to support the barrier 🍃 Wishing you a nice day ahead 👋
