    Why do I feel that The Ordinary 0.5% retinol is more effective than 1%? I don’t have sensitive skin and tolerate 1% retinol well, but still think 0.5% is better even though it’s weaker.

Ingredient-wise, it should be okay, but I suggest you try it on a small area first to see how your skin reacts to the combination of these two.
