Fiber Mousse perfect for curly hair
Packing is a sport – and I’m always last to the finish line. 😂 I totally get brain freeze as soon as a bag is opened (my husband can attest to that 🤠). This time, however, I thought the situation was under control: cabin bag, ready by midnight, alarm at 5:00 AM, and only five minutes late for the pre-booked taxi. Fast forward to Arlanda security 👮 → the bag lights up like a Christmas tree. 5–6 bottles over 100 ml are pulled out, applauded, and of course go straight into the trash 😂. Plot twist: duty-free. Lernberger Stafsing Fiber Mousse (travel size). My only styling product in Berlin – and it did the job 🙌. Why fiber mousse is awesome: 💨 Volume without the mess 💪 Hold that actually lasts longer than an hour 🌊 Texture so the hair doesn’t just… give up 🔁 Curls (natural or styled) that don’t disappear right away 💦 Works on both wet and towel-dried hair 🎯 Plays well with everything from messy to more defined waves Six bottles in the trash. One mousse left. 🫡 So – packing pro or hopeless case like me?1 product in post Fiber Mousse perfect for curly hair2493 viewsto leave a comment - Employees at Lyko1 week
Hacks for Blow-Drying Curly Hair
If there’s a shortcut or a hack, I’ll take it (or invent one myself 🙃). Blow-drying curly hair takes a bit of time, just like with straight hair. But there are things you can do to reduce drying time, but like everything in life, you might need to compromise with something else 😉. Below are some of my tips. Add yours in the comments? Let’s make a collective effort for all the curlies! Tagging a few different hair dryers with diffuser attachments and heat protectant/styling with combo heat protectant that I like. 💦 Start with damp hair instead of soaking wet – it dries faster, even if you get a little less definition. (If you want maximum definition, it’s better to style on really wet hair, but then it takes longer to dry). ✨ Use lighter styling products if you want to speed up the process. Heavier creams and many layers of products lead to longer drying times (but also more hold). 💨 A good hair dryer makes a difference. I’ve tried both Dyson, Laifen, Remington, and surely some others – there are several brands that make good dryers. Dyson is definitely the most expensive, Laifen is a more affordable similar variant, and brands like Remington or Babyliss also have good options at a decent price. 🌪 Diffuser! A diffuser attachment is more important than having the most expensive hair dryer on the market. 🧴 Gel is gold. Blow-dry until the gel has set in the curls (YES, it should feel stiff). Then you scrunch out the hard and what’s left are soft, defined curls. I find gel and/or mousse with medium to high hold works best with diffuser drying if you want to minimize frizz. If you only use leave-in, curl cream, or spray, it often gets a bit frizzier when you blow-dry. 🕓 Quick-dry products exist, but expect that they often create a bit more frizz. And when I want to use more product and take time – but still don’t have the patience – then I build a little DIY hair dryer stand and multitask my way through it 😂.14 products in post Hacks for Blow-Drying Curly Hair - Employees at Lyko4 weeks
✨The BEST base - DIY✨
After searching high and low for the perfect tinted moisturizer/light foundation for years, I have finally found something that works and ticks all my (picky) boxes. I stood in the bathroom one morning with the mineral powder in my hand that I love, but still thought could be a bit too "powdery" and thought "I wonder what happens if I MIX the powder with my face cream..." 🧐 Hand on heart – for me, this is the absolute best base ever. I have tested sooooo many tinted, BB creams, and foundations but always felt that something felt off. Now I use this when I want a light no make up-make up base. Which is like... always. 🫶 I have been doing this for the last 6 months, so it is well-tested by ME at least 🤣. I think the reason it turns out so damn good is that it’s simply a mix of the face cream you already love and then pigment you can mix in as much as you want. 👉 I mix cream and powder directly in my hand and apply with my fingers, very simple in other words. 👉 Adjust coverage by taking more or less powder. 👉 Feel free to finish off with brushing on a little extra mineral powder if you want more coverage or to tone down the moist feeling from the face cream. 👉 Or sweep on Make Up Store Hydra Silk Setting Powder – a feather-light, water-based powder that gives a silky finish, feels almost "cool" on the skin, absorbs oil and excess moisture, and keeps everything in place. 💡 I have tested Make Up Store, Bare Minerals, and Sweed – all work! Best choice? The mineral powder you already love on your skin. They differ in glow, undertone, and shade. 👀 I find that the mixture often turns out a bit darker than the powder looks in the jar. Experiment! Examples of shades I’m testing, tagging everyone in the post. • Sweed Powder Light 01 – Light with warm undertone - the shade that suited me best in the spring and now after summer when I start to get paler again. • Make Up Store Wonder Powder Sahara – light, but on the warmer side. This also suits me, especially in the fall/winter when I get very light/pale in my complexion. • BareMinerals Original SPF 15 Medium Beige - Used this in the summer when I was a bit sun-kissed in the face. • Make Up Store Wonder Powder Kalahari – slightly cooler tone. A bit too cool for me, as I am warm/neutral with freckles.7 products in post ✨The BEST base - DIY✨ - Employees at Lyko1 month
💧My absolute favorite conditioner
If I could only choose one conditioner to always have at home – it would be this one. It is moisturizing, packed with protein, and strengthens the hair without weighing it down. The consistency is almost a bit gel-like, which makes it wrap around the strands evenly and gives that "glassy" feeling when rinsing out. 🔍 Why I love it (and what makes it special) • Hydrolyzed proteins from silk, keratin, collagen, soy, corn, and wheat help to build up and strengthen the hair. • Panthenol & glycerin provide moisture and softness – without becoming heavy. • Amino acids help improve elasticity and provide more resistance to wear. • Light silicone protection (Amodimethicone) encapsulates moisture and adds shine – and is designed to adhere where the hair is damaged rather than everywhere. 💡 Is it CGM-friendly? Not strictly – it contains a form of silicone (Amodimethicone) that many in the Curly Girl Method avoid. However, it is a lighter silicone that adheres selectively, and thanks to the combination with Trideceth-12 and Cetrimonium Chloride, it is easier to wash out than heavy silicones. I recommend using a detox shampoo every 6-8 washes to keep the hair completely free from any buildup. 📌 Ingredient nerdiness – Amodimethicone • Only adheres where the hair is most damaged/porous. • Provides shine and protection against friction and heat. • Lower risk of "coating" than with dimethicone. • Does not require strong sulfates every time – a mild sulfate-free shampoo is sufficient, but complement with detox shampoo regularly. ✨ How I use it I apply it after shampooing, let it sit for a few minutes, and comb through in the shower. Sometimes I use it as a mini-mask when my hair needs extra strength but I don't have time for a long treatment.1 product in post 💧My absolute favorite conditioner - Employees at Lyko1 month
Glow and SPF in a perfect combo 🌞
This dry oil SPF spray was a hidden gem for me, which has become a big favorite during the summer! SPF and Glow in a perfect combo. I've used the spray at the beach and also when I've worn a dress or tank top and want a little yummy glow that also smells good and protects. At the beach, I've combined it with an SPF 50 cream, using SPF 50 as a base and/or on exposed areas, then I top it off with this dry oil spray 🤩.1 product in post Glow and SPF in a perfect combo 🌞 - Employees at Lyko1 month
A leave-in that surprised – in the best way
I took this leave-in cream with me to Norway to have a simple yet nourishing routine during hiking, swimming, and training. I applied it to wet hair after conditioner – and let it air dry. To my surprise, it worked super well as a curl cream! It provided shape, moisture, and light hold – without weighing it down. I have wavy and quite fine, bleached hair – so I usually avoid products with shea butter, as it often becomes too heavy for my strands. But in this formula, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (shea butter) is quite far down in the INCI, which means lower quantity. Additionally, it is balanced by lighter moisturizers and emulsifying ingredients that make the cream feel feather-light in the hair. 🔍 a bit more about some of the ingredients: 💎Cetearyl Alcohol & Cetyl Alcohol - softening fatty acids that also help detangle hair without weighing it down. 💎Propylene Glycol & Panthenol – provide moisture and shine, and help the hair stay soft even when air-drying. 💎Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate – lightly film-forming and can contribute to some hold and shape-preserving effect. 💎Silicone Quaternium-18 & Trideceth-12 – a form of water-soluble silicone that provides shine and protection without building up residue. 💎Lactic Acid – helps balance pH and makes hair softer. 💎Heat protection – yes, it contains ingredients that also function as heat protection, making it great as a base if you want to blow-dry or style with heat. Even though it’s a leave-in, I think it works as an all-round cream for wavy/curly hair – especially for you who want something light and nourishing in a simple routine. I will continue to use it as curl cream, and on days when I want more hold, I just add a gel on top.1 product in post A leave-in that surprised – in the best way4914 views- 1 monthI hope you had a super trip in Norway, and I just have to say wow! to your hair. Maxed out glow and radiance!
I love how this SPF feels and looks on the skin. It's like a glow spray – but with built-in sun protection. Just as usable on the beach as in the city💃🏼 It's super easy to apply with the spray nozzle, featherlight, and not the least bit sticky. The skin feels hydrated and gets a really golden glow. And the scent! A pretty sweet coconut-vanilla that instantly brings back memories of those sun products we had in our teenage years. You know when you're at the beach and someone else pulls out that exact scent – then you just want to have it yourself too. I love it. But if you're sensitive to sweet scents, it might be a bit much. Spray form doesn't provide the same coverage as a cream, and this one has "only" SPF 30. So I usually start with SPF 50 in cream form, especially on the face and on exposed areas, and then top it off with this for glow and reapplication. If it's really high summer or strong sun – then I use SPF 50 as a base all over the body first. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. It would have been a full score if it had SPF 50 and a bit better coverage – but I will definitely continue to buy it anyway.1 product in post Maxed out glow and radiance!909 viewsto leave a comment - Employees at Lyko2 months
Reactivate Curls in 1 Min
Do you want to bring your curls back to life on day 2, 3 (or why not 5?) without piling on layer after layer of products that cause build-up? Then this is my go-to method! 🌙 At night: I sleep with my hair in a loose, high ponytail with a soft silk scrunchie. Sometimes I also wrap my hair in a silk scarf or sleep on a silk pillowcase – it reduces friction and helps the curls hold their shape better. 💧 In the morning: I release the ponytail, gently shake out my hair, and spray a moisturizing leave-in spray all over. Then I let it air dry. Simple, quick, and gentle. 💡 Want to style a little extra? Then you can mix a small amount of curl cream or gel with water in your hands and smooth/scrunch it into your hair. It gives a bit more hold – but without weighing it down or building up too much product. 💦 Sometimes water is enough! If you styled with a good amount of product after washing, it might be enough to just spray with water. Many styling products (like gel and cream) reactivate with moisture – it’s all about how much product is left in the hair. Tagging my favorite spray bottle for water. 🌬️ Air drying works best when it’s warm. I often air dry in the summer because it’s nice and convenient. In the winter, I usually skip it – freezing temperatures and wet hair are a bad combo. Plus, hair doesn’t do well being wet for too long, as the hair strand is extra vulnerable when it’s swollen with moisture. 🔁 For me, this is the key: - Overall, use products that are relatively light and don’t weigh the hair down. – Minimal product to avoid build-up on day 2 (and 3, 4, 5…) – Simple and effective routines 90% of the time! – Protection at night to preserve the curls Do you have a favorite method for reactivating your curls? 💬 #curls #cgm #curlpattern #curlstyling #lockigthår #curlyhair #happycrazymine #curlseries #curlactivatormist3 products in post Reactivate Curls in 1 Min - Employees at Lyko2 months
Sunscreen that kids accept
My 4-year-old Charlie has always hated sunscreen. It has been a whole project every time. But this one – that you just roll on – was the first one he actually accepted. Almost like CBT, because now it even goes better with other creams too. And he’s apparently not alone – a friend at preschool was so taken with it that she carried it around all summer… and slept with it. 😂 I don’t know what it is that makes kids like it – maybe the format, the feel, the simplicity? But regardless, it’s a tip for you if you have a child who doesn’t like sunscreen. ✅ Easy to use on the go ✅ High protection – SPF 50 ✅ Light formula ✅ Minimally sticky ✅ No sticky hands afterwards #aco #acospfkids #spfbarn #solkräm #solkrämbarn1 product in post Sunscreen that kids accept1684 views- 2 monthsHaha how lovely! 🤣🥰 Well, sunscreen and kids are a tricky combo sometimes 🙈 But how fun that it turned out so well!

Best Top Coat
This top coat – Seche Vite – is amazing. It dries super fast, gives a glossy, hard surface, and flows out so evenly that it almost feels like gel. It doesn't matter if a lot gets on the brush – let it flow out properly. The result is even, glossy, and durable. I always use it when I paint my nails. This is truly the best top coat I've ever tried. It allows me to use any polish underneath, as the top coat makes even budget polishes perform at their best! 👇 The little glass file I'm showing is also a favorite – convenient to have in my bag, and perfect when you want to quickly fix the shape.2 products in post Best Top Coat
