One of the best curl creams I've tested!
one of the best curl creams I've tested! Looks heavy in the jar – but don’t be fooled. When you mix it with a little water, something magical happens: it transforms into a light, gel-like texture that shapes the curls perfectly without weighing them down. So YES, it works for us with finer/thinner strands too. It has more hold than many other creams, almost like a mix between cream and gel. Gives soft definition, shine, and moisture that lasts for several days without feeling sticky or stiff. I often use it completely alone for everyday, especially when I want a little looser, natural curls. Incredibly easy to refresh as well. And the scent?! It’s been a long time since I received so many compliments on a scent. I love it. And it’s super concentrated – a little dab goes a long way. Start with travel size if you’re unsure. ✨ A new favorite in the bathroom shelf!1 product in post One of the best curl creams I've tested!102 views- The comment was made 2 weeksMy sister confirms that it is the best curling cream she has tested, and let me tell you, a whole bunch of different curling creams have been tested 😍😍

Here come two of my absolute favorites! We start with Fenty The Homecurl Curl Defining Cream Looks heavy in the jar – but as soon as you mix it with water, magic happens. It transforms into a light, gel-like texture that shapes the curls without weighing them down. Contains bio-based esters and modern polymers that provide shine, moisture, and definition without stickiness. Also includes amino acids and rice protein that strengthen the hair and improve elasticity – perfect for bleached or fine strands that need structure but not more weight. And it’s super concentrated – a little goes a long way. Result: soft, shiny curls with natural definition and light “memory hold,” that even withstands a blow dryer with a diffuser as the only product?! I have no other curl cream that can do that. 🤍 BRUNS Hair Soufflé N°14 A favorite I’ve used for several years – and it works for everything: curls, volume, or blow-drying. I will never let this go Builds strength and fullness with aloe vera, silk protein, and xanthan gum, without feeling rough or salty. Also provides definition and moisture. Can actually be used as a standalone product if desired. And it has heat protection - love it! Both are available in travel size if you want to test first 💫4 products in the look 2 favorite products for my curls5966 views- The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. You need: • Small transparent rubber bands & possibly thicker bands, the braid gets quite thick. • Braiding tools to pull through and adjust the loose hair makes it easier. • Extension hair – don’t skimp on the amount! Better quality = easier to braid & reuse. • Clips and gel – makes it easier, but not a must Here’s how we did it: 1️⃣ Brush the hair (preferably lightly damp with water/gel) and divide into small sections along the middle. Make six or more small ponytails and secure with bands. 👉 Number of ponytails = number of bundles of loose hair + one extra! (e.g. 6 pcs = 7 bundles). 2️⃣ Insert the braiding tool under the band and thread through a bundle of loose hair – the same amount on both sides. 3️⃣ Pull tightly so the fastening sits securely. Repeat on all mini-ponies. 4️⃣ Start braiding: • Divide the front section (1) into two parts. • Bring the middle section (2) forward between the two parts of section 1. • Bring the back parts of section 1 to each side and secure together with the back section (3). • Pull tight and gently pull out the loose hair for volume and coverage. 5️⃣ Repeat the same pattern all the way down. 6️⃣ When you’ve passed the last ponytail, continue braiding with just the loose hair and secure with a band. 7️⃣ Use the extra piece of loose hair at the end to fill in or do touch-ups. Done 😍🔥😈 💡 Tips: - Keep the braiding tool in your bag – perfect for quick fixes during the day. - The better the quality of the loose hair, the greater the chance you can use it again (cheap hair tangles faster – trust me 😅). - Use gel in the same color as the loose hair for a cool effect.3 products in the look Rumi Braid from Demon Hunters 😈😍1178 views- The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. Melts away everything
Wonderful cleansing that melts away everything, an awesome alternative to oil cleansing. I've tried several oil cleansers but get reactions, like acne-like rashes and pimples, from all of them. But not from this one by Mamonde. Smells fresh and subtly of mint.1 product in post Melts away everything56 views - The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. The post was made 1 monthRating: 5 out of 5
Best barrier cream / day cream
My new go2, has replaced previous favorites, for example, I like this one more than Klairs rich moist cream. I think this one melts in even better, feels more moisturizing but without feeling greasy. And I am very sensitive to creams that feel greasy. In terms of ingredients, this one from Mamonde is "cleaner" in content than Klairs. So I will continue to buy this. Absolutely wonderful, especially now in the fall and winter when the skin needs a little extra protection. 5 stars from me!1 product in post Best barrier cream / day cream167 views - The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. The curls were nice, but I wanted a bit more volume at the roots. I started by dampening the roots a bit, and then applying waterclouds rootlift spray mousse with my hands. I thought it gave a bit more control to spray into my hand and then apply. Then blow-dry - with diffuser - the heat activates the product and creates volume 😆🦁2 products in the look Volume boost 🔥- The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. The post was made 2 months
Fiber Mousse perfect for curly hair
Packing is a sport – and I’m always last to the finish line. 😂 I totally get brain freeze as soon as a bag is opened (my husband can attest to that 🤠). This time, however, I thought the situation was under control: cabin bag, ready by midnight, alarm at 5:00 AM, and only five minutes late for the pre-booked taxi. Fast forward to Arlanda security 👮 → the bag lights up like a Christmas tree. 5–6 bottles over 100 ml are pulled out, applauded, and of course go straight into the trash 😂. Plot twist: duty-free. Lernberger Stafsing Fiber Mousse (travel size). My only styling product in Berlin – and it did the job 🙌. Why fiber mousse is awesome: 💨 Volume without the mess 💪 Hold that actually lasts longer than an hour 🌊 Texture so the hair doesn’t just… give up 🔁 Curls (natural or styled) that don’t disappear right away 💦 Works on both wet and towel-dried hair 🎯 Plays well with everything from messy to more defined waves Six bottles in the trash. One mousse left. 🫡 So – packing pro or hopeless case like me?1 product in post Fiber Mousse perfect for curly hair2602 views - The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. The post was made 2 months
Hacks for Blow-Drying Curly Hair
If there’s a shortcut or a hack, I’ll take it (or invent one myself 🙃). Blow-drying curly hair takes a bit of time, just like with straight hair. But there are things you can do to reduce drying time, but like everything in life, you might need to compromise with something else 😉. Below are some of my tips. Add yours in the comments? Let’s make a collective effort for all the curlies! Tagging a few different hair dryers with diffuser attachments and heat protectant/styling with combo heat protectant that I like. 💦 Start with damp hair instead of soaking wet – it dries faster, even if you get a little less definition. (If you want maximum definition, it’s better to style on really wet hair, but then it takes longer to dry). ✨ Use lighter styling products if you want to speed up the process. Heavier creams and many layers of products lead to longer drying times (but also more hold). 💨 A good hair dryer makes a difference. I’ve tried both Dyson, Laifen, Remington, and surely some others – there are several brands that make good dryers. Dyson is definitely the most expensive, Laifen is a more affordable similar variant, and brands like Remington or Babyliss also have good options at a decent price. 🌪 Diffuser! A diffuser attachment is more important than having the most expensive hair dryer on the market. 🧴 Gel is gold. Blow-dry until the gel has set in the curls (YES, it should feel stiff). Then you scrunch out the hard and what’s left are soft, defined curls. I find gel and/or mousse with medium to high hold works best with diffuser drying if you want to minimize frizz. If you only use leave-in, curl cream, or spray, it often gets a bit frizzier when you blow-dry. 🕓 Quick-dry products exist, but expect that they often create a bit more frizz. And when I want to use more product and take time – but still don’t have the patience – then I build a little DIY hair dryer stand and multitask my way through it 😂.14 products in post Hacks for Blow-Drying Curly Hair2453 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. ✨The BEST base - DIY✨
After searching high and low for the perfect tinted moisturizer/light foundation for years, I have finally found something that works and ticks all my (picky) boxes. I stood in the bathroom one morning with the mineral powder in my hand that I love, but still thought could be a bit too "powdery" and thought "I wonder what happens if I MIX the powder with my face cream..." 🧐 Hand on heart – for me, this is the absolute best base ever. I have tested sooooo many tinted, BB creams, and foundations but always felt that something felt off. Now I use this when I want a light no make up-make up base. Which is like... always. 🫶 I have been doing this for the last 6 months, so it is well-tested by ME at least 🤣. I think the reason it turns out so damn good is that it’s simply a mix of the face cream you already love and then pigment you can mix in as much as you want. 👉 I mix cream and powder directly in my hand and apply with my fingers, very simple in other words. 👉 Adjust coverage by taking more or less powder. 👉 Feel free to finish off with brushing on a little extra mineral powder if you want more coverage or to tone down the moist feeling from the face cream. 👉 Or sweep on Make Up Store Hydra Silk Setting Powder – a feather-light, water-based powder that gives a silky finish, feels almost "cool" on the skin, absorbs oil and excess moisture, and keeps everything in place. 💡 I have tested Make Up Store, Bare Minerals, and Sweed – all work! Best choice? The mineral powder you already love on your skin. They differ in glow, undertone, and shade. 👀 I find that the mixture often turns out a bit darker than the powder looks in the jar. Experiment! Examples of shades I’m testing, tagging everyone in the post. • Sweed Powder Light 01 – Light with warm undertone - the shade that suited me best in the spring and now after summer when I start to get paler again. • Make Up Store Wonder Powder Sahara – light, but on the warmer side. This also suits me, especially in the fall/winter when I get very light/pale in my complexion. • BareMinerals Original SPF 15 Medium Beige - Used this in the summer when I was a bit sun-kissed in the face. • Make Up Store Wonder Powder Kalahari – slightly cooler tone. A bit too cool for me, as I am warm/neutral with freckles.7 products in post ✨The BEST base - DIY✨2951 views
