Maxed out glow and radiance!
I love how this SPF feels and looks on the skin. It's like a glow spray – but with built-in sun protection. Just as usable on the beach as in the city💃🏼 It's super easy to apply with the spray nozzle, featherlight, and not the least bit sticky. The skin feels hydrated and gets a really golden glow. And the scent! A pretty sweet coconut-vanilla that instantly brings back memories of those sun products we had in our teenage years. You know when you're at the beach and someone else pulls out that exact scent – then you just want to have it yourself too. I love it. But if you're sensitive to sweet scents, it might be a bit much. Spray form doesn't provide the same coverage as a cream, and this one has "only" SPF 30. So I usually start with SPF 50 in cream form, especially on the face and on exposed areas, and then top it off with this for glow and reapplication. If it's really high summer or strong sun – then I use SPF 50 as a base all over the body first. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. It would have been a full score if it had SPF 50 and a bit better coverage – but I will definitely continue to buy it anyway.Translated from swedish

Do you want to bring your curls back to life on day 2, 3 (or why not 5?) without piling on layer after layer of products that cause build-up? Then this is my go-to method! 🌙 At night: I sleep with my hair in a loose, high ponytail with a soft silk scrunchie. Sometimes I also wrap my hair in a silk scarf or sleep on a silk pillowcase – it reduces friction and helps the curls hold their shape better. 💧 In the morning: I release the ponytail, gently shake out my hair, and spray a moisturizing leave-in spray all over. Then I let it air dry. Simple, quick, and gentle. 💡 Want to style a little extra? Then you can mix a small amount of curl cream or gel with water in your hands and smooth/scrunch it into your hair. It gives a bit more hold – but without weighing it down or building up too much product. 💦 Sometimes water is enough! If you styled with a good amount of product after washing, it might be enough to just spray with water. Many styling products (like gel and cream) reactivate with moisture – it’s all about how much product is left in the hair. Tagging my favorite spray bottle for water. 🌬️ Air drying works best when it’s warm. I often air dry in the summer because it’s nice and convenient. In the winter, I usually skip it – freezing temperatures and wet hair are a bad combo. Sunscreen that kids accept
My 4-year-old Charlie has always hated sunscreen. It has been a whole project every time. But this one – that you just roll on – was the first one he actually accepted. Almost like CBT, because now it even goes better with other creams too. Best Top Coat
This top coat – Seche Vite – is amazing. It dries super fast, gives a glossy, hard surface, and flows out so evenly that it almost feels like gel. It doesn't matter if a lot gets on the brush – let it flow out properly. The result is even, glossy, and durable. I always use it when I paint my nails. This is truly the best top coat I've ever tried. Super good strong hold gel for curls!
I have curly, Scandinavian hair with fine, but many strands – and Aveda's Coil Definer Gel works super well for my curls. It's marketed for tight curls, but works excellently for me with naturally curly, fine hair. Gives definition without weight – exactly what I want. Five stars! ✅ Contains no heavy oils like coconut oil or shea butter – which often weighs my hair down. I generally think it's a "problem" that many brands making curl products drown their formulas in oils and butters as if just because you have curly hair, it MUST be suitable. But even curly hair is different, and MY BEST curl products - like this one from Aveda - do not contain heavy ingredients or alternatively less of them. ✅ Has protein, which gives a little extra strength, texture, and volume ✅ Can dry both stiff and a little softer. Dries stiff, which gives clear definition if I use more product and dry with a diffuser – I scrunch out the stiffness when the hair is completely dry. If I use less product or mix it with curl cream, it dries softer. ✅ Economical and easy to distribute, especially with a little water in my hands. A bit pricey, so I really appreciate that it lasts a long time. ✅ CGM approved if you follow it. How to dry your hair for completely frizz-free curls
Just kidding – frizz-free curls are not a reasonable goal. Those perfect, shiny curls you sometimes see? Often, the hair is first straightened or blow-dried straight and then styled with a curling iron. That’s a different look – on different hair. When we style our naturally curly hair, we work with our natural texture. And there will always be a little frizz – more or less. Both results are beautiful! Don’t try to mimic how someone with straight hair tries to create curls. It won’t look the same – and we don’t want it to either. Work with your texture, not against it 💛 ⏳ 🚿 After a proper wash with shampoo and conditioner, I applied a curl cream to very wet hair directly in the shower. Then I let my hair rest in a microfiber towel for a while before applying a gel with strong hold. 👉 Many become hesitant when the gel dries stiff – but that’s exactly what we want! The stiffness encapsulates the curl pattern while the hair dries. When the hair is completely dry, you scrunch out the stiffness – and you’re left with defined curls with minimal frizz and nice hold. ⏳ My best tips when drying with a diffuser: 💨 Don’t touch the curls at first! Let the dryer circulate around the hair – we want the curls to set in their natural shape. 🔁 Tilt your head forward and backward, up and down, to create volume and get air at the roots. 🌀 When the gel starts to set, gently lift certain sections to better reach the scalp – without disturbing the curl pattern. ✋ When the hair is clearly stiff, start scrunching with your hands while drying. This releases the hard outer layer and builds volume at the same time. 🌬️ Dry completely dry – not 80 or 90%. It makes a big difference for both shape and durability. 💧 Finish with a light hair oil on the ends and lengths for shine and protection. ⏳ 👉 Tip! Always SPF when running in the sun!
☀️ I always apply before I run – especially when the sun is shining. When I sweat, I find that my skin becomes extra sensitive to burning, so I apply on all exposed skin and extra carefully on my face, shoulders, and tattoos. 🧴 On my face, I use Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua. It feels like a moisturizing day cream, with high SPF and without niacinamide – perfect for me as I easily get reactions from niacinamide. This is my go-to whether I’m at work, home, in the garden, at the beach, you name it. It gives a nice glow without becoming greasy. 👶 On my body, I use ACO Sun Kids Spray SPF 50. It’s actually for kids – but I love how convenient it is. Spray, done. It’s water-resistant and works just as well on my run as it does at the beach. Yep, I even have this at the beach. Maybe more of a product we share freely in the family. 👀 I previously used Dr. Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Moist Sun on my face. It gives a more glass skin glow and is suitable for you if you like that – if you can tolerate niacinamide – and aren’t externally dry. My friend, who has drier and perhaps especially externally dry skin, finds it funny that Hysl Reyouth MOIST sun dries her out. I have normal, maybe slightly dry, skin and haven’t experienced that. Airy product combo for curls
A favorite combination of products for airy and fine curls. Perfect when you have thin strands that easily get weighed down. 💎 Jessicurl Confident Coils Styling Solution, defines soft curls and helps resist moisture. Cream product but it is quite runny. Distributes easily in the hair. I apply it directly in the shower after conditioner. Does not rinse out. Wraps the hair in a microfiber towel afterwards to draw out water. Just Jessicurl is not available on Lyko but you can use another curl cream you like! 💎 Dreamcoat for curly hair. One of my big favorites, I always have a bottle at home. It enhances curls and makes them durable, without weighing them down. Has heat protection if you want to use a diffuser, but I usually air dry if I use this without combining with gel because I think it gives too little hold to keep the hair together when blow-drying. 🌞 This SPF from Beauty of Joseon has become a favorite of mine. It feels like a moisturizing day cream, gives a bit of glow, and absorbs without being sticky or leaving a white cast 💧 A big thing for me: it does NOT contain niacinamide. I am allergic to niacinamide and get everything from red spots to sometimes severe reactions from it – which makes it a bit tricky since it's in almost everything nowadays. Hybrid cream-gel
A gel that feels like a hybrid between curl cream and gel. Provides definition to the curls and light to medium hold. Does not give that hard stiffness that some gels provide, but dries softer.
