I’m not joking when I say that the morning routine for curls can take about 60 seconds if you have a proper styling base and protect the curls while you sleep. I’ve tried everything possible; pillowcases, bonnets, scarves, high ponytails, all in silk/satin, as well as combinations. What I like best varies depending on hair length, season, energy... Regarding proper styling beforehand, I think I styled the curls with Fenty Homecurl Curl Cream + Evo Gangstagrip the day before. Slept with a scarf. Then I take a liiiittle Curl Cream, mix it with water between my hands, and smooth down a bit of frizz. A LITTLE. The hair should not feel wet. Tagging a few other products I have in the video as well. -MAMONDE is a real favorite K-beauty brand. High quality, cleaner ingredients than many other K-beauty brands, and top delivery. Their barrier cream/ceramide cream is the best I’ve tested. Better than the classic from Klair’s, I think. The one in the soft tube is a bit thicker (but not greasy!) - I have that one now, day and night. And the one in the hard round packaging is thinner - I’ll buy that one for summer. They have almost the same ingredients. - Torriden Dive In Skin Booster. Also a new brand for me, but I love their toner! Lots of moisture, rich without stickiness, everything sinks in, feels strengthening but gentle. Clean ingredients. Almost out and I will buy again. - Make Up Store eyeshadow stick longwear Luxe. If you haven’t tried it, do it now. Creamy upon application, it stays like a rock once it’s had some time to set. Thanks to this, I can do smoky eyes that last all day. I alternate this with eyeliner and a little shadow. - Fenty Cream Blush Cheeks Out 02 Petal Poppin. Have I ever received so many compliments for a blush before? Incredible color! You get rosy without being pink. Neither light nor dark, perfectly balanced. Right now, I like the silk scarf the best. Maybe a video on how I tie it would be something?9 products in the look Morning routine for curls - sleeping with a scarf 👸2875 viewsMikaela Schönström

Do you have curls like me that are easily weighed down by too heavy products? Here comes a quick overview of the routine in the video for those of you who want to save on steps and products. 1. Detangling mist (F-Layer) I spray it all over my hair and detangle with a wide-tooth comb. It helps the curl clumps form right away and is lightweight, moisturizing, and has both heat and UV protection. I sometimes use it on my daughter too because it’s so smooth. 2. Gel (Evo Gangsta Grip Bonding Resin) Apply this lightweight gel with Praying hands + scrunch up. It’s easy to get even, gives strong hold, and yes, it will dry "stiff" but you scrunch that out later. Blow a little warm air while, it helps. Also, some light oil you’ve rubbed between your palms. The gel reactivates with water, making it easy to refresh. 3. Microfiber towel I scrunch out some water to avoid weighing the curls down. It also speeds up the drying time. 4. Diffuser Blow dry until the cast has set (the stiff part) and then scrunch out the stiffness. Finish by fluffing up the roots a bit. For the nerds: ingredient quickie 💚 Gangsta Grip: VP/VA + metacrylate copolymer = shape, volume, less frizz. AMP-acrylates = shine without stickiness. F-Layer: Lipids that strengthen the hair strand, heat protection up to 232°, UV protection, weightless moisture.3 products in the look Lightweight curl routine ✨ 2 products ✨Mikaela Schönström

• Silk or satin near the hair A silk/satin pillowcase or bonnet reduces friction and helps the curls maintain their shape. I often use an inherited silk scarf – simple and gentle on the hair. • Pineapple or loose low ponytail Keeps the curls away from the pillow and reduces rubbing and frizz. • Simple scarf wrap when I'm tired When I can't be bothered anymore for the evening, I just quickly wrap my hair up. That’s often enough for the curls to be manageable the next morning. • Make sure the hair is dry Damp hair against the pillow makes the hair more sensitive and gives less definition the next day.4 products in the look Protect the curls while you sleep544 views- The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. One of the best curl creams I've tested!
one of the best curl creams I've tested! Looks heavy in the jar – but don’t be fooled. When you mix it with a little water, something magical happens: it transforms into a light, gel-like texture that shapes the curls perfectly without weighing them down. So YES, it works for us with finer/thinner strands too. It has more hold than many other creams, almost like a mix between cream and gel. Gives soft definition, shine, and moisture that lasts for several days without feeling sticky or stiff. I often use it completely alone for everyday, especially when I want a little looser, natural curls. Incredibly easy to refresh as well. And the scent?! It’s been a long time since I received so many compliments on a scent. I love it. And it’s super concentrated – a little dab goes a long way. Start with travel size if you’re unsure. ✨ A new favorite in the bathroom shelf!1 product in post One of the best curl creams I've tested!265 views- The comment was made 1 monthMy sister confirms that it is the best curling cream she has tested, and let me tell you, a whole bunch of different curling creams have been tested 😍😍

Here come two of my absolute favorites! We start with Fenty The Homecurl Curl Defining Cream Looks heavy in the jar – but as soon as you mix it with water, magic happens. It transforms into a light, gel-like texture that shapes the curls without weighing them down. Contains bio-based esters and modern polymers that provide shine, moisture, and definition without stickiness. Also includes amino acids and rice protein that strengthen the hair and improve elasticity – perfect for bleached or fine strands that need structure but not more weight. And it’s super concentrated – a little goes a long way. Result: soft, shiny curls with natural definition and light “memory hold,” that even withstands a blow dryer with a diffuser as the only product?! I have no other curl cream that can do that. 🤍 BRUNS Hair Soufflé N°14 A favorite I’ve used for several years – and it works for everything: curls, volume, or blow-drying. I will never let this go Builds strength and fullness with aloe vera, silk protein, and xanthan gum, without feeling rough or salty. Also provides definition and moisture. Can actually be used as a standalone product if desired. And it has heat protection - love it! Both are available in travel size if you want to test first 💫4 products in the look 2 favorite products for my curls6001 views- The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. You need: • Small transparent rubber bands & possibly thicker bands, the braid gets quite thick. • Braiding tools to pull through and adjust the loose hair makes it easier. • Extension hair – don’t skimp on the amount! Better quality = easier to braid & reuse. • Clips and gel – makes it easier, but not a must Here’s how we did it: 1️⃣ Brush the hair (preferably lightly damp with water/gel) and divide into small sections along the middle. Make six or more small ponytails and secure with bands. 👉 Number of ponytails = number of bundles of loose hair + one extra! (e.g. 6 pcs = 7 bundles). 2️⃣ Insert the braiding tool under the band and thread through a bundle of loose hair – the same amount on both sides. 3️⃣ Pull tightly so the fastening sits securely. Repeat on all mini-ponies. 4️⃣ Start braiding: • Divide the front section (1) into two parts. • Bring the middle section (2) forward between the two parts of section 1. • Bring the back parts of section 1 to each side and secure together with the back section (3). • Pull tight and gently pull out the loose hair for volume and coverage. 5️⃣ Repeat the same pattern all the way down. 6️⃣ When you’ve passed the last ponytail, continue braiding with just the loose hair and secure with a band. 7️⃣ Use the extra piece of loose hair at the end to fill in or do touch-ups. Done 😍🔥😈 💡 Tips: - Keep the braiding tool in your bag – perfect for quick fixes during the day. - The better the quality of the loose hair, the greater the chance you can use it again (cheap hair tangles faster – trust me 😅). - Use gel in the same color as the loose hair for a cool effect.3 products in the look Rumi Braid from Demon Hunters 😈😍1218 views- The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. Melts away everything
Wonderful cleansing that melts away everything, an awesome alternative to oil cleansing. I've tried several oil cleansers but get reactions, like acne-like rashes and pimples, from all of them. But not from this one by Mamonde. Smells fresh and subtly of mint.1 product in post Melts away everything70 views - The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. The post was made 2 monthsRating: 5 out of 5
Best barrier cream / day cream
My new go2, has replaced previous favorites, for example, I like this one more than Klairs rich moist cream. I think this one melts in even better, feels more moisturizing but without feeling greasy. And I am very sensitive to creams that feel greasy. In terms of ingredients, this one from Mamonde is "cleaner" in content than Klairs. So I will continue to buy this. Absolutely wonderful, especially now in the fall and winter when the skin needs a little extra protection. 5 stars from me!1 product in post Best barrier cream / day cream366 views - The user's roll: Employees at Lyko.
