The product is designed to remove previous hair color pigments from the hair 🩷 This could therefore work for removing dark color pigments, but it does depend on the colors previously used and the quality of your own hair!
I would recommend applying the product first to a small section, so you can see how it works for removing the existing color!
If the product doesn’t feel sufficient for removing the pigments, I recommend instead lightening your hair at a salon ☺️
