Ugh, it looks terrible if you, like me, have accidentally bitten your lips a bit - then the product settles unevenly.

I understand that it can get a bit tricky with lip stain if the lips are dry or if you've accidentally bitten your lips a bit, as it can apply unevenly. To achieve a more even result, it might be good to use a suitable lip scrub and soften the lips first before applying the color. If you haven't tried it already, a thinner layer can give a bit better and more even coverage.
