Perioral Dermatitis + atopic eczema & sensitive skin
Hi, I suffer from atopic eczema and have had it since I was little, but I very rarely get eczema on my face or body at all nowadays as an adult. However, I also suffer from dry & sensitive skin. I have now developed perioral dermatitis around my mouth/nose after I changed most of my skincare routine all at once about 2 months ago, and started using exfoliating products & stronger Retinal. All of this has made my skin completely freak out. I have stopped using these products, as well as SPF since it can irritate. I am now only using a mild cleanser & moisturizer from Cetaphil, and have been prescribed Finacea (Azelaic acid) which I have only managed to apply for 2 days. Do you think this could work for my PD that has flared up?1 product in post Perioral Dermatitis + atopic eczema & sensitive skin91 views- The user's roll: Farmaceut på Lyko. The comment was made 3 daysHey Therese😊 I understand. It sounds like your skin has really become overstimulated after switching several products at once and starting with stronger exfoliating products and Retinal — it’s very common for perioral dermatitis to flare up when the skin gets too many active ingredients at the same time, especially if the skin is already sensitive or dry. That you have now gone back to gentle cleansing and moisturizing is great, and it’s exactly the right way to let the skin barrier recover. The SOS Paste can be a good complement here: it contains sulfur that can reduce redness and inflammation and is often used as a spot treatment on irritated areas. Tip: apply thinly and locally, continue with gentle cleansing and moisturizing, and introduce the product carefully on a small area first to see how your skin reacts. This way, you have the best chance to calm the outbreak without overstimulating the skin again. Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a super nice Friday💫

Is it okay to use around the eyes?
Hi! I'm using Ordinary's Granactive Retinoid 2% today, but I've never dared to use it around the eyes since I thought it was a big no-no! Is it okay to use it around the eyes & also this stronger variant? Thanks in advance!1 product in post Is it okay to use around the eyes?1580 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. They are really such a beautiful product 😍 But I wouldn't recommend using it around the eyes as it is too harsh for our sensitive eyes 💖 Instead, you could use this gem 👇 lyko.com/sv/the-inkey-list/the-inkey-list-retinol-eye-cream-15-ml?fromsearch=3498-112-0015 Take care!1 likes
