How well does this help with âchicken skinâ? I have it all over my neck and also some on my upper chest and collarbones. I haven't found any cream yet that removes it, only temporarily soothes it.
Hey Robin!
Yes đ This is actually one of the better options for treating "chicken skin" â that is, keratosis pilaris.
Keratosis pilaris requires patience. đ Urea needs to be used regularly, so daily use for weeks to show visible improvement. It can significantly reduce the condition, but rarely removes it completely. Some find that acid peels (e.g., AHA or BHA) are also needed to really smooth the skin.
Some tips you can take with you are to apply it right after showering â when the skin is damp. Use it consistently every day for at least 4â6 weeks.
If you feel it hasnât given enough results, combine it with an AHA toner 2â3 times/week.
Some AHA products you can check out are Paulaâs Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid, The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA, or Versed Weekend Glow Daily Brightening Solution.
Have a lovely day! đ
