It took me a while to understand how to use it. But when I realized I had to massage it into my face until it changed consistency, everything got so much better.
I always, always go back to this cleanser. Even though it’s super fun to try new products, none really quite measure up to this one. I’ve never had skin as nice as when I’m good at using this consistently.
When I cleanse my face, I can literally feel it pulling out blackheads and other impurities from the skin as I massage around my face — and that’s exactly what I never experience with any other cleanser. 🙀
✨ How to use it: ✨
💗 Experiment to find the right amount depending on how much makeup you have on your skin. Spread the product in dry hands before applying it all over your face, also dry. Start in the middle, at the nose, and work outward. Massage until you find a spot on your skin where the cleanser suddenly glides off, going from a bit grainy to completely smooth and like a thin oil.
💗 Once you have that same oily consistency all over your face, take the time you feel you need. This is the phase where the product works best. Cleanse your face until you’re satisfied you’ve removed everything. Don’t forget behind your ears, under your nose and down your neck, and places where you apply contour and powder, which aren’t necessarily in the middle of your face.
💗 Don’t be too impatient — I get that it’s boring to stand and massage your face and get tired of it. But spend a few minutes on each area of your face. That way you get a proper cleanse. Rinse off and enjoy 🥰, then continue with toner and the rest of your skincare routine.
⚠️ Step 1: Apply product over and under your eyelashes. Let the product sit there and "melt" mascara and eye makeup gently. Not soft enough yet? Move on and check later. When the lashes are soft enough, you can gently massage the eye makeup away from there too.
⚠️⚠️ When I have medium or heavy makeup on, I usually have The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming Cleanser by the sink next to me. I use it as cleansing step number 2. I always have a towel between my legs when I wash my face (easy access 😅) if I need to dry my hands or something along the way. Then I rinse off the squalane cleanser and go straight to the glucoside cleanser since my face is already wet. I wash my face with it, and the last bits of makeup, dirt, and grime from a whole day in your life disappear. 💗🥰
I hope those of you who have had negative experiences with this product will try it again, just this way. I think you’ll experience a totally different product than before! 💗🌸🫂
This is my favorite product in the entire Davines world. I got cancer last year and unfortunately lost my hair. I REALLY MISS this product!
How it doesn’t get five stars from everyone is completely beyond me. Both my little sister and I have used this product religiously for many years. Neither of us can do without it — until now, when I don’t have much hair on my head. 😅😂💔
Our thin, Nordic, flat hair becomes full of volume and body, without it showing that we’ve had a single product in our hair. I hope I get hair long enough after chemotherapy to be able to use this product again! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I have used this product for many years, but have been only somewhat satisfied. I didn't quite understand what difference it makes for the skin. But now I have the answer, and this product is a pure superhero!
I have gone through a tough time, with serious cancer and a treatment plan that the doctors were unsure I could handle. They were surprised at how nice my skin was after the radiation treatment was over — and I can thank this serum for that! Together with the GF solution from the same brand, the serum has saved my skin from the worst damage. No one can see where I had radiation treatment, unless they use a magnifying glass.
Now I really see in practice what this product does for the skin. Think about how many skin damages we get throughout life, which we don't see until it's too late. So now this serum is part of my weekly routine. I will never stop. 🤩
I see that the product is loved by many, but I don't quite get an answer to the following:
Is the product suitable for men's skin, especially men with atopic eczema? Or should he go for another product instead?
