Simply strip off the top layer, ditch the plastic cover, toss the capsule in your washer, and bam – you're on your way to a dazzlingly colorful wardrobe! Kick things off by pre-washing your item and placing it damp into the machine. Run a standard cycle with the water temperature set between 30–40 °C (opting for 40 °C for a richer hue). These dyes are tailor-made for cotton, linen, and viscose fabrics. Got a blend with polyester? Expect a subtler shade.
A single capsule can dye up to 600 g of fabric for the boldest color or up to 1800 g for something more subdued. Forget about adding salt – it's already in there! Looking to dye a hefty batch? Feel free to use up to 5 capsules at once. Just remember, cramming your washer too full might leave you with spotty or uneven colors.
Our color chart is based on dyeing white fabric, so the original color of your item will influence the final look. For instance, don't expect a dark gray or black t-shirt to turn yellow or orange.
Post-dye, give your machine two empty runs with detergent to ensure it's clean. Don't forget to check and clean the rubber seals.
Steer clear of dyeing wool, silk, 100% synthetic fibers, items with nylon stitching, or fabrics that need dry cleaning.
Also, avoid dyeing treated or impregnated textiles, as you might end up with patchy and disappointing results.
Post-dye, give your textiles a separate wash or two at no more than 40 °C.
