Dewy dream for the evening – but less is more
Erborian markets their Serum 17 as a gamechanger for the skincare routine, where they promise it will help improve skin texture, give a youthful glow, and reduce the visibility of fine lines and pores. It’s packed with super ingredients that are supposed to make your skin feel plump and smooth, almost like wearing an Instagram filter in real life. And yes, I can agree that it’s a really nice serum – especially if you like oil-based products. The serum is rich and moisturizing, which means that if you have dry skin, you probably don’t even need to use a moisturizer over it. It does the job itself, and your skin feels hydrated and “dewy” all night. But a heads up: this is not a serum you want to use during the day, especially not under makeup. The oil base makes it feel like your face is melting, and that’s not really the look we’re going for, right? Now for a little warning: if you’re thinking about putting a moisturizer on top of the serum, think again. I tried it and… breakouts. So yes, less is more here. Use the serum solo if you have sensitive skin or easily get breakouts – it seems to work best when it gets a little “space”. Summary: love the serum, but go without extra cream if you don’t want unwanted breakouts. The night oil that really does the job
Erborian Skin Therapy is a lightweight night oil that quickly absorbs into the skin, makes it softer, and makes me look more refreshed in the morning. Together with other products?
Hi I was thinking of skipping my retinol product that doesn't do anything for me and trying this serum instead, since I like several of their other products. I have their Centellla Cream as a moisturizer. Right now, I use Pixi Glow Tonic 5% glycolic acid about 2 times a week and a BUS spray the day after. SO UNDERRATED!!
This is an oil, but even though it's an oil, you shouldn't take it for granted and think that it gives you pimples, blackheads, and such (I haven't had that problem with the product at all). You use it instead of night cream, and in the morning after, I feel like a completely new person🥹 My skin gets a crazy glow, and the pimples from the night before have suddenly become so much smaller?! My new favorite!
I don't know if it has to do with tired, Scandinavian, winter skin, but it has made a big difference for me. My lines around my eyes and forehead have decreased, and I've gotten a new glow. Both have niacinamide, and there is no benefit to doubling it – it can actually become too much over time (especially if you experience tingling, redness, or irritation) 💡 Recommended use: Alternatively instead of using them at the same time. E.g.: Monday/Wednesday/Friday: Jorgobé serum on clean skin, moisturizer on top! Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday: Erborian night oil as the last step If you want to use both the same evening, use: Jorgobé first (light serum, water-based) Wait 5 min → then Erborian oil serum as the last step Wishing you a nice day ahead 🙌
