    Good beginner RetinAl

If you're not used to using stronger retinoids, start with this one and work your way up to the 10.

    Order

To minimize irritation, I have read that retinal should be applied to dry skin, so after cleansing. Is there any reason it states that this should be applied after toner and serum?

Hey Anna, Just Geek and Gorgeous recommends that A Game 5 is applied after toner and serum because the formula is designed to work well with moisturizing steps. It is not dangerous to apply retinal on damp skin with this product. If one is very sensitive, they can still choose to apply it on dry skin to minimize the risk of irritation. Have a nice day! ✨

    Good start on retinal

Haven't had any unwanted reaction with this, very nice when starting with retinoids. Feels like it keeps the skin "in check" and for example prevents deep pimples from developing as much as they would without the product.

    Which strength retinal?

I’m going to start using retinal after using retinol 0.2% daily for a good while. Should I choose a-game 5 or 10?

    Combine

I have used the Beauty of Joseon eye serum all over my face to start my retinal journey. I now want to move up to stronger ones and it seems like this is a good next step. Can I continue to use BoJ only for the eye area and then this for the rest of my face?

Hey Ida! It's good to switch to G&G for the face and continue with BOJ for the eye area - just make sure you don't overlap both products on the same skin area so it doesn't get too strong 👌 Wishing you a nice day!

    Dermaceutic 0.5 retinol

Hi! I have been using Dermaceutic 0.5 retinol for a couple of weeks and I wonder if I can then use Geek & Gorgeous A-Game 10 Retinal Serum 30 ml or if you still think I should start with 5? All the best!

    Combine with moisturizer

Can you use vitamin C in the morning if you're going to use this retinal in the evening? And can I use Eucerin Hyaluron-filler + 3x effect as a moisturizer afterwards? Or which one do you recommend? Thanks in advance, best regards, Karin

Hey Karin! 👋✨ Yes, it works really well to use vitamin C in the morning and retinal in the evening! Vitamin C protects and brightens the skin during the day, while retinal does its job with skin renewal in the evening 🌙 Your idea with Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + 3x Effect as a moisturizer on top of retinal works great too 🤍 My tip is to be diligent with sun protection during the day when you use active ingredients in your skincare ☀️💛 Take care!

Does it work when you're a beginner?

Hi I have never used retinol products. Right now my routine looks like this. Can they be combined with this, and does this product work if you've never used retinol? Or should I try something else first? lyko.com/sv/hudvard/ansikte/ansiktsrengoring/rengoringskram/aco-face-soft---soothing-cleansing-lotion-200-ml lyko.com/sv/hudvard/ansikte/serum/loreal-paris-revitalift-filler-serum lyko.com/sv/aco/aco-face-nourishing-night-cream-50-ml

Hi Karin😊 Thank you for your question✨ Geek & Gorgeous A-Game 5 Night Cream contains retinal, a mild and effective form of retinoid that is well-suited for beginners. You can combine it with your current routine, but start cautiously – use the cream once a week and gradually increase to 2-3 times. Apply it after serum and before your night cream, and pay attention to your skin's reaction. If you experience irritation, reduce usage. Don't forget sunscreen during the day🧴 I hope my answer can be helpful and that you have a lovely day🌞

    Satisfied!

I have been using the product for about 4 weeks. Started with one day a week, then 2, then 3, and now I’m using it 3-4 days with this and about 3 days with bha in the evening. I am very satisfied! My skin is firmer and less "red." It definitely does its job!

I have combination skin and react easily to products, so I am quite sensitive. I haven't reacted to this one at all.

Geek & GorgeousA-Game 5 Retinal Serum 30 ml

145 kr.
Free delivery option available from 300 kr., can be sent immediately

A silky, lightweight emulsion containing a medium-strength amount of retinal to help against all signs of ageing while being gentle on the skin.
Retinal is the "big brother" molecule of the better known anti-aging superstar, retinol. While retinol needs two metabolic conversion steps to reach the active form, retinoic acid, retinal is the direct precursor only one conversion step away from the active form the skin cells understand. It is estimated that retinal can convert more than 10x more efficiently to retinoic acid than retinol, making retinal an outstandingly effective member of the retinoid family (vitamin A family).
Once converted, retinal helps the skin cells to produce more collagen and other structural elements, making the skin more youthful, firm and elastic. It also speeds up the renewal process of the upper skin layers making it smoother and more even. A-Game is a smart-aging must-have, but it is also useful as an adjacent product for fading pigmentation, as well as helping acne-prone skin.
In terms of strength and knowledge, Geek & Gorgeous would compare their 0.05% retinal serum to the strength and knowledge of a 0.5% retinol product but with less irritation potential and possibly quicker results.
Cruelty-free | Vegan | Fragrance & Essential oil free | Gluten-free
Suitable for anyone who is looking to try out Retinal in their skincare routine. However the texture of this product is more suitable for combination and oily skin.
💘 Why we love it: This product is really a fantastic introduction to reducing skin damage such as pigmentation, wrinkles and lack of glow. Its silky formula is not drying and quickly gives results.
Perfect for: If you are looking to start using a retinoid - start here. Great for acne, wrinkles, pigmentation and over all skin health.
Texture: Yellow light weight cream.
Scent: No fragrance or perfume, smells of nothing.

KEY INGREDIENTS
Retinal (0.05%):  An anti-aging superstar ingredient that is the direct precursor of retinoic acid (the active form that the skin cells understand) and shows an outstanding activity/tolerance ratio among topical retinoids.
Allantoin & Panthenol: A classic ingredient duo known for their skin soothing and skin protecting abilities.
Biosaccharide Gum-1:  A carbohydrate molecule that has nice skin soothing and moisturizing abilities and makes A-Game even more gentle and silky.

Use:
Apply a pea sized amount to face in the PM! In your evening routine, apply liquid and gel-type products first (for example a toner or other serums) then A-Game. Follow with a moisturiser. Wear a sunscreen SPF 30 or higher in the morning.
If your skin is sensitive, start using A-Game every other day and if well-tolerated, move up to every evening in two weeks. You can try using A-Game around the eye area, but pay attention not to rub it into your eyes.
Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding!
Good to know: A-Game has a bright yellow color due to the retinal in it. Based on our experience, it dissipates on the skin and does not leave a yellow tint on surfaces.
