Good beginner RetinAl
If you're not used to using stronger retinoids, start with this one and work your way up to the 10.Translated from danish

Product in combination with other products
Can this product be combined with Some By Mi Aha-Bha-Pha toner or Pyunkang toner? As I have read, one should not use this product both morning and night. Can it be combined with Cosrx the 6 peptide serum and does that product work with the above toners?Translated from swedish
139 views- Skin therapist at Lyko14 hoursHey Annie, Geek & Gorgeous A-Game 5 retinal should only be used in the evening, not morning and evening - just like you say. It can be combined with Some By Mi AHA-BHA-PHA toner, but don’t use them on the same evening since both are active. Instead, alternate evenings between them. The Pyunkang toner is soothing and works well to use together with A-Game 5. You can use Cosrx The 6 Peptide Serum after the retinal serum without any problems, and it also works well with both toners. Wishing you a nice day! 💌

Combine products
Is it possible to combine this with vitamin C and azelaic acid? ☺️Translated from swedish
209 views- Farmaceut på Lyko4 daysHey Michellé✨ Thanks for your question! Since this contains retinal, it should not be combined with vitamin C or acids. Preferably use this in the evening 1-2 times a week and vitamin C in the morning. Then use your azelaic acid on other evenings than this one to avoid any clashes. Also, be careful with retinal products in the summer as the skin can become more sensitive to this, and combining multiple active ingredients can disrupt the skin barrier overall. Don't forget sunscreen during the day😎 I hope my answer can be helpful! Wishing you a super nice Friday🌞

Good first retinal, although it's advisable to start using it gradually to avoid skin irritation. I have sensitive skin, and I have still been able to use this. Economical and pleasant consistency. I can't yet assess what effect this has on signs of aging. #lykoreview1551 viewsto leave a comment - 2 months

Awesome
I have used weak retinol products before this, so I thought it would be good to start with a weak retinal. No reactions occurred, so I have used it after my toner before moisturizer 3 times this week. It's hard to review so early, but I already notice that my skin has more glow in the morning and that my scars from pimples have lightened, some are hardly visible. So I recommend! I will buy the stronger one next time :)Translated from swedish

Beginner Retinal
Used cera ve retinol without reacting or having any issues, now want to try this and wonder if it's a good start on retinal after using ceraves retinol?Translated from swedish
2807 views- Customer service at Lyko3 monthsHey Emelie! I absolutely think this is a great alternative after you've used Cera ve retinol. But be sure to gradually introduce your skin to the new product. Start with 1 night a week and slowly increase the days 💗 Take care! ✨

Hi!
I have now been using Cerave's retinol (0.3%) serum for over two years and would like to increase the percentage. I'm considering this product, but I just can't find information on how to increase the percentage without negative effects?Translated from danish
2604 views- Customer service at Lyko4 monthsHey Sofie! 😊👋 Yes, it sounds like a good idea to switch to this product without it being too strong, but remember to incorporate the product into the skin and use it 2-3 times a week at first and gradually increase to avoid irritation 😍 Take care! 🤍

Beginner
I have sensitive skin and have previously used First Aid Beauty Skin Lab Retinol Serum 0.25% Pure Concentrate 30 ml (Sensitive/Beginner). However, my skin reacted to it. Would it be worth trying this product despite it containing a higher concentration of retinol, or what would be a good retinol product to start with?Translated from swedish
2124 views- Customer service at Lyko4 monthsHey Hanna! 😊👋 A-Game 5 is a retinal, not a retinol serum, which means it is stronger and works faster than traditional retinol, so if you have reacted to retinol before, I think this might be too strong for you! I would instead like to recommend these products that are milder than retinol and are perfect to start with😊👇 Cerave - contains 0.3% encapsulated retinol. Encapsulated retinol penetrates deeper into the skin and has a slower release, which minimizes the risk of irritation! lyko.com/sv/cerave/cerave-resurfacing-retinol-serum-30-ml The Ordinary - This is a 2% version of retinoid, which is a milder version of retinol that is a popular product for sensitive skin 😍 lyko.com/sv/the-ordinary/the-ordinary-granactive-retinoid--2-emu Good luck with everything 🥰

Geek & GorgeousA-Game 5 Retinal Serum 30 ml
A silky, lightweight emulsion containing a medium-strength amount of retinal to help against all signs of ageing while being gentle on the skin.
Retinal is the "big brother" molecule of the better known anti-aging superstar, retinol. While retinol needs two metabolic conversion steps to reach the active form, retinoic acid, retinal is the direct precursor only one conversion step away from the active form the skin cells understand. It is estimated that retinal can convert more than 10x more efficiently to retinoic acid than retinol, making retinal an outstandingly effective member of the retinoid family (vitamin A family).
Once converted, retinal helps the skin cells to produce more collagen and other structural elements, making the skin more youthful, firm and elastic. It also speeds up the renewal process of the upper skin layers making it smoother and more even. A-Game is a smart-aging must-have, but it is also useful as an adjacent product for fading pigmentation, as well as helping acne-prone skin.
In terms of strength and knowledge, Geek & Gorgeous would compare their 0.05% retinal serum to the strength and knowledge of a 0.5% retinol product but with less irritation potential and possibly quicker results.
Cruelty-free | Vegan | Fragrance & Essential oil free | Gluten-free
Suitable for anyone who is looking to try out Retinal in their skincare routine. However the texture of this product is more suitable for combination and oily skin.
💘 Why we love it: This product is really a fantastic introduction to reducing skin damage such as pigmentation, wrinkles and lack of glow. Its silky formula is not drying and quickly gives results.
Perfect for: If you are looking to start using a retinoid - start here. Great for acne, wrinkles, pigmentation and over all skin health.
Texture: Yellow light weight cream.
Scent: No fragrance or perfume, smells of nothing.
KEY INGREDIENTS
Retinal (0.05%): An anti-aging superstar ingredient that is the direct precursor of retinoic acid (the active form that the skin cells understand) and shows an outstanding activity/tolerance ratio among topical retinoids.
Allantoin & Panthenol: A classic ingredient duo known for their skin soothing and skin protecting abilities.
Biosaccharide Gum-1: A carbohydrate molecule that has nice skin soothing and moisturizing abilities and makes A-Game even more gentle and silky.
Use:
Apply a pea sized amount to face in the PM! In your evening routine, apply liquid and gel-type products first (for example a toner or other serums) then A-Game. Follow with a moisturiser. Wear a sunscreen SPF 30 or higher in the morning.
If your skin is sensitive, start using A-Game every other day and if well-tolerated, move up to every evening in two weeks. You can try using A-Game around the eye area, but pay attention not to rub it into your eyes.
Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding!
Good to know: A-Game has a bright yellow color due to the retinal in it. Based on our experience, it dissipates on the skin and does not leave a yellow tint on surfaces.
