Good beginner RetinAl
If you're not used to using stronger retinoids, start with this one and work your way up to the 10.Translated from danish

4/5
Good first retinal, although it's advisable to start using it gradually to avoid skin irritation. I have sensitive skin, and I have still been able to use this. Economical and pleasant consistency. I can't yet assess what effect this has on signs of aging. #lykoreview83 viewsto leave a comment - 1 week

Awesome
I have used weak retinol products before this, so I thought it would be good to start with a weak retinal. No reactions occurred, so I have used it after my toner before moisturizer 3 times this week. It's hard to review so early, but I already notice that my skin has more glow in the morning and that my scars from pimples have lightened, some are hardly visible. So I recommend! I will buy the stronger one next time :)Translated from swedish

Beginner Retinal
Used cera ve retinol without reacting or having any issues, now want to try this and wonder if it's a good start on retinal after using ceraves retinol?Translated from swedish
1745 views- Customer service at Lyko1 monthHey Emelie! I absolutely think this is a great alternative after you've used Cera ve retinol. But be sure to gradually introduce your skin to the new product. Start with 1 night a week and slowly increase the days 💗 Take care! ✨1 likes

Hi!
I have now been using Cerave's retinol (0.3%) serum for over two years and would like to increase the percentage. I'm considering this product, but I just can't find information on how to increase the percentage without negative effects?Translated from danish
1806 views- Customer service at Lyko2 monthsHey Sofie! 😊👋 Yes, it sounds like a good idea to switch to this product without it being too strong, but remember to incorporate the product into the skin and use it 2-3 times a week at first and gradually increase to avoid irritation 😍 Take care! 🤍1 likes

Beginner
I have sensitive skin and have previously used First Aid Beauty Skin Lab Retinol Serum 0.25% Pure Concentrate 30 ml (Sensitive/Beginner). However, my skin reacted to it. Would it be worth trying this product despite it containing a higher concentration of retinol, or what would be a good retinol product to start with?Translated from swedish
1 likes1478 views- Customer service at Lyko2 monthsHey Hanna! 😊👋 A-Game 5 is a retinal, not a retinol serum, which means it is stronger and works faster than traditional retinol, so if you have reacted to retinol before, I think this might be too strong for you! I would instead like to recommend these products that are milder than retinol and are perfect to start with😊👇 Cerave - contains 0.3% encapsulated retinol. Encapsulated retinol penetrates deeper into the skin and has a slower release, which minimizes the risk of irritation! lyko.com/sv/cerave/cerave-resurfacing-retinol-serum-30-ml The Ordinary - This is a 2% version of retinoid, which is a milder version of retinol that is a popular product for sensitive skin 😍 lyko.com/sv/the-ordinary/the-ordinary-granactive-retinoid--2-emu Good luck with everything 🥰

Hello
I would like to know how to use this? What pairs well with it and the most important should I use it before moisturizer or after? I bought this 1 week ago but I have not been using it yet due to the lack of research on the internet. Thank you if u find time to educate me on this product.1689 views- Customer service at Lyko2 monthsHello Kati! 😊👋 A-Game 5 is a retinal, not retinol serum, meaning it's stronger and works faster than traditional retinol while still being gentle. Start use it 2-3 times a week at night, if your skin tolerated well increase to every other night, then nightly if your skin adapts🙌 Apply it before moisturizer, let it absorb for about one minute, then follow with a moisturizer to lock in hydration. Retinal makes your skin more sensitive to UV rays, so daily sunscreen is a must to prevent sun damage ☀️ Avoid pairing with strong acids AHA/BHA/PHA Benzoyl Peroxide & High % Vitamin C! Take care and good luck! 🥰

Use with round labs birch juice cream?
Can you use it together with round labs birch juice cream? Thinking because it says it contains vitamin c which shouldn't be combined on the same evening?Translated from swedish
1 likes2394 views- Former employee3 monthsHey! 👋🏻☺️ Yes, you can use this product together with Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizer in the evening. The vitamin C in Birch Juice is a mild and stable form (SAP) that does not react negatively with retinal 🩷 Apply A-Game 5 first on dry skin and then Birch Juice on top. If you have sensitive skin, it might be good to introduce them carefully 😊 Take care! ✨1 likes

A good start!
I damaged my skin barrier a few years ago, like so many others I started with many active ingredients in my skincare routine without being adequately prepared. Went back to basics and rebuilt my skin barrier and felt prepared enough to start with retinal. This feels gentle, have only used it for a few weeks so can't say the results yet, but it feels good! Haven't reacted at all, now using it 3 evenings a week and being careful with sunscreen during the day. Will get the 10 when this is finished. #lykoreviewTranslated from swedish

Geek & GorgeousA-Game 5 Retinal Serum 30 ml
A silky, lightweight emulsion containing a medium-strength amount of retinal to help against all signs of ageing while being gentle on the skin.
Retinal is the "big brother" molecule of the better known anti-aging superstar, retinol. While retinol needs two metabolic conversion steps to reach the active form, retinoic acid, retinal is the direct precursor only one conversion step away from the active form the skin cells understand. It is estimated that retinal can convert more than 10x more efficiently to retinoic acid than retinol, making retinal an outstandingly effective member of the retinoid family (vitamin A family).
Once converted, retinal helps the skin cells to produce more collagen and other structural elements, making the skin more youthful, firm and elastic. It also speeds up the renewal process of the upper skin layers making it smoother and more even. A-Game is a smart-aging must-have, but it is also useful as an adjacent product for fading pigmentation, as well as helping acne-prone skin.
In terms of strength and knowledge, Geek & Gorgeous would compare their 0.05% retinal serum to the strength and knowledge of a 0.5% retinol product but with less irritation potential and possibly quicker results.
Cruelty-free | Vegan | Fragrance & Essential oil free | Gluten-free
Suitable for anyone who is looking to try out Retinal in their skincare routine. However the texture of this product is more suitable for combination and oily skin.
💘 Why we love it: This product is really a fantastic introduction to reducing skin damage such as pigmentation, wrinkles and lack of glow. Its silky formula is not drying and quickly gives results.
Perfect for: If you are looking to start using a retinoid - start here. Great for acne, wrinkles, pigmentation and over all skin health.
Texture: Yellow light weight cream.
Scent: No fragrance or perfume, smells of nothing.
KEY INGREDIENTS
Retinal (0.05%): An anti-aging superstar ingredient that is the direct precursor of retinoic acid (the active form that the skin cells understand) and shows an outstanding activity/tolerance ratio among topical retinoids.
Allantoin & Panthenol: A classic ingredient duo known for their skin soothing and skin protecting abilities.
Biosaccharide Gum-1: A carbohydrate molecule that has nice skin soothing and moisturizing abilities and makes A-Game even more gentle and silky.
Use:
Apply a pea sized amount to face in the PM! In your evening routine, apply liquid and gel-type products first (for example a toner or other serums) then A-Game. Follow with a moisturiser. Wear a sunscreen SPF 30 or higher in the morning.
If your skin is sensitive, start using A-Game every other day and if well-tolerated, move up to every evening in two weeks. You can try using A-Game around the eye area, but pay attention not to rub it into your eyes.
Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding!
Good to know: A-Game has a bright yellow color due to the retinal in it. Based on our experience, it dissipates on the skin and does not leave a yellow tint on surfaces.
