  Gentle on hair but lacks elasticity

  While this doesn't have anything to catch on hair to cause damage they are also lacking in enough stretch to hold hair. A ponytail for instance will only stay up 30-40 minutes before loosening so much that it falls completely. These only work for tying the ends of braids, not for updos.
