  Lightly pigmented

  I got this in shade Light Cool Blonde. I love that the packaging shows which levels of hair color it works on (8, 9 and 10), it's convenient to be able to see that on the packaging. The shade Icy Blonde would only work on extremely light hair, for example - probably causing someone to wonder why the product "doesn't work" on their hair. The conditioner has a very nice scent, light and fruity (melon, banana, something like that). It's very pale and blue-toned. My own hair is a level 7 and the ends have been highlighted to a level 9, so this conditioner should brighten the highlights nicely. I give it 4 stars because it's really not that pigmented. This is not necessarily a bad thing! I suppose all blondes who tone their hair have had that one time where they accidentally turned their hair purple or blue! A toning conditioner not being too pigmented might actually be good, less risk of unwanted results. But it also means that the toning effect is very mild and might not handle the worst kinds of brassiness. I'd recommend this shade to someone with level 9 or 10 hair who is looking for a very mild and gentle toning. #lykoreview
