Use:
1. Assume a comfortable position, with your muscles relaxed. One of the positions that allow easy access to the vaginal area is standing up, with your knees slightly bent and separated, or with one foot on the toilet.
2. Wash your hands and remove the wrapper from the tampon.
3. Unravel the tampon string and pull it quickly and firmly. Make sure both ends of the string are connected.
4. Place your index finger into the hollow at the end of the tampon.
5. Insert the tampon into the vagina; this will be easiest if the body is relaxed.
6. Push the tampon into the vagina as far back as possible, at an angle. The string will be hanging outside your body.
7. When the tampon is correctly placed, you will not feel anything. If you feel uncomfortable it means that you have not inserted the tampon to a sufficient depth. You should remove the tampon and insert a new one, ensuring that you insert it deeply.
8. Wash your hands.
