Karl Lagerfeld is one of the world's most acclaimed fashion designers. He is known for his bold design and for constantly reinventing himself. For two decades now, he has been the chief designer for Chanel and has made this classic fashion house a force to be reckoned with. Lagerfeld always stands for classic elegance, stylish and timeless design that never gets boring. The same goes for the fragrances that bear his name. As early as 1978, Karl Lagerfeld created his first own perfume that is still a bestseller today - Lagerfeld Classic.
Since then, Karl Lagerfeld has launched a number of successful fragrances in his own name. In the autumn of 2017, a new chapter was written for the fragrance brand Karl Lagerfeld with the launch of the new collection "Les Parfums Matières". Here, Lagerfeld took fragrance and raw materials back to the heart of the creative process. First out were two fragrances that recreate two key ingredients in selective perfume - Peach Flowers and Vetiver Wood.
"I'm not interested in what I did. I'm just interested in what I'm doing, what can be inspired. "
The scent is very fresh, a bit soapy. You can feel the floral and fruity/citrusy notes while there is something woody in it. I would say it suits all ages. I would also claim that the scent is everyday, no heavy/evening scent.
The longevity is good, lasts a whole day, possibly it needs to be touched up a few times. Since it’s not that strong, it’s not a problem though.
