Does what it’s supposed to
In collaboration with @smartsontestpilot and @lorealparis I got to test Magic Retouch in 3 different shades. The one that matched my hair color the most was Dark Brown. I would have liked to see the product in a reddish-brown shade. It’s easy to spray on and covers the hair strands, doesn’t just sit on the scalp like I think other products I’ve tried have done. It can drip from the bottle, so don’t wear clothes when you color and rinse the sink immediately so it comes off. The product makes the hair rough, which I don’t like. Feels like you have sand cake in your hair. Could be good if you want a bit of "lift" in your hair. The product does what it’s supposed to and if it comes in dark reddish brown, I will use it. Works well
I think it worked well, but you had to spray more than I thought, takes a while to dry The review was conducted on behalf of Smartson - the test pilot got to try the product for free.1 product in post Works well20 views - The post was made 23 hoursRating: 3 out of 5
Covers the gray
Covered very well, did not stain pillows etc., like other brands can do. However, needed to spray several times to get a nice result.1 product in post Covers the gray20 views - The post was made 1 dayRating: 2 out of 5
Hair feels rough
It was quite easy to use, but a few drops got on the sink and clothes. I would have preferred a finer spray. It looks a bit unnatural at the hairline since it colors the skin, and the hair becomes very rough and quite hard to wash out. I thought the hair became very dull and it was hard to brush through the hair after application. Good as a quick fix but not something I will use regularly. Does not meet expectations
Difficult to apply evenly, color drips from the bottle. Hair feels dull and similar to dry shampoo. Got an incredible amount of itching on the scalp and felt like the hair was dirty. Leaves a layer of color on the scalp
Unfortunately, it leaves a layer of color on the scalp which makes it look unnatural. If you have a middle part, it becomes clear that something has been sprayed on the hair, and it does not give the natural effect I had hoped for. Very satisfied
I think the product is very good! Perfect between colorings. The only thing is that I think it splatters when you spray. And I don't think it's so nice when it colors the scalp when I have a middle part, so it's a bit tricky to get it only on the hair itself. Terrible!
Had high hopes despite mixed comments, but oh how disappointed I was! First tried dark blonde, but since it made no difference, I took "blonde." The only thing that happened was that my hair became completely hard and looked like I had used half a bottle of dry shampoo?? I had just washed and dried my hair, and because I didn't want to wash it all over again, I stood by the sink and tried scrubbing the roots. Had to shampoo five(!!!) times before the water ran clear and not brown/beige. Maybe easier if you want to darken your roots, but getting it light was totally useless... Attaching pictures before and after use. Anyone got tips on something else that actually works? ❤️1 product in post Terrible!840 views- The comment was made 1 monthReally disappointing:( If it’s a root touch-up spray with pigment, then what’s the point if it’s not to lighten the scalp?
