Super pretty color
I have tested the nail polish for a few days in everyday life, both at home and at work. It is very clear and pretty right after the first coat, but I found that two thin layers gave the absolute best color that suited me the most. But what I liked was that there was quite a big difference in color the more layers you applied. I tried three in total. The brush was easy to work with and made it quite simple to get close to the cuticles without it getting too messy. The consistency is just right, not too runny but not too thick either, which made the polish distribute evenly over the nail. The drying time was quite okay, especially if you paint thin layers. The shine is a big advantage of the polish. It almost looks like you’ve applied a top coat even without extra top coat. The durability was also good, after a few days there was some wear visible at the tips, but the color still looked nice and didn’t chip off in large pieces. Shade 5 Half Full
My first impression when I received the product was the stylish, classic Essie nail polish bottle and the color is so incredibly beautiful. It says “Glass Nails Glass-Effect Nail Polish” on it so you don’t confuse it with traditional nail polishes. It also lasts for 24 months after opening, which is good considering the price. It’s not like regular nail polishes, but should be more transparent in color to mimic the “glass nails” trend. However, you can definitely apply several thin layers if you prefer more coverage. It has a consistency that is a bit harder to work with, but it’s probably just me needing to get used to it. I chose to test with one layer first and then two layers so you can see how it looks. Since I have short nails right now, I think it looks much nicer with more layers. I haven’t used any base or top coat before or after application to see how it holds without. It’s been a day so far and it still looks good. I think it’s a bit harder to get it looking nice than traditional nail polishes, but it will be fun to get used to it and experiment when my nails are longer. Note! The pictures were taken right after I applied the nail polish. Picture 1 shows one layer and picture 2 shows two layers. Such a lovely color
Full blown is such a lovely color, it’s really going to be my favorite this summer. The nail polish has a lovely and easy-to-work-with consistency that doesn’t run down the sides of the nails. Quick-drying and only needs 1-2 coats depending on what effect you want. It really lasts long, I’m really surprised by the durability, over a whole week without it chipping at the edges, and my nails are currently very soft and I’ve had my hands in a lot of water. Nice color
After one coat, the nail polish was transparent and the color somewhat uneven. After two coats, it was still a bit transparent, but perfect for you if you don't want a completely opaque result (pinky and ring finger). After three coats, the color became significantly more opaque. The picture shows how the color looks on day two, and it felt like the polish had pulled a bit over the nail edges. Despite this, I really like the color. It's a nail polish that can be built up in coverage without feeling thick or clumpy on the nails, which is a big plus. Super nice color 😍
I got to try the product for free through Smartson. Incredibly nice color. I love the effect of it being a little transparent. Unfortunately, it's hard to get an even application, and I got small bubbles in the polish, which disturbed the effect. The first two layers looked terrible, but layer three made it look nice. So trust the process. I will continue to use the product in hopes that I can get the application right so I can avoid the bubbles in the future. One tip is to use a glittery nail polish as a base, it gives a super cool effect. Essie - High baller
I tried the color High baller and that color was truly perfection in my eyes, as I usually choose pink/red polishes when I paint my nails. As with most nail polishes, two coats are required, almost three for the color to become even. The first coat looked almost a bit "watery", but with another coat, it became perfect. Good brush and the polish was easy to apply! With some brushes, you need to clean up a bit around the nail depending on how the brush is shaped, but I didn't need to do that with this one. The color. I will definitely buy a new bottle when this one is empty. Easy to apply. The color dried quickly. Nice shine The review was conducted on behalf of Smartson - the test pilot was allowed to try the product for free.1 product in post Essie - High baller2 views - The post was made 8 hoursRating: 3 out of 5
Spring Color
Nice color and easy to apply. I put on two layers and I might have preferred a slightly lighter color. Hope it holds up well. New favorite!
My new favorite polish! The perfect everyday polish. Gives a nice but still discreet color that goes with almost everything, not to mention the fantastic shine! I first had two coats for a week, and after that there was of course a little growth, but minimal chipping at the tips. So I just built on and painted another layer and had it for almost another week. Very light consistency without being runny, and with thin layers it dries faster than many other polishes I've tried. Looking forward to trying more colors of this polish. Can highly recommend. Discreet color with pearl shimmer. Suitable for many ages and is highly liked by my daughter. I have only used the colored polish together with the top coat, so I can't answer how the durability is on polish no. 1, but the top coat I have used for several years before this test, and it is really awesome! Easy to apply and flows out well. However, one should be careful not to make the top coat too thick, as it takes time to dry/harden. Gives a really nice salon-like result. I usually don't need to repaint my nails due to chipping, but because they grow out. So pretty!
Suuuuper pretty color! It shifts a bit between red and pink but looks and feels like glass. Very princess-like feel to it. With each layer, it becomes more pigmented, and in the pictures, 3 layers are used. I really like the shine it has! Extra points for lasting so long! Sheer pink with a nice shine
I have tested this nail polish from Essie in the shade Cincin during the week. I immediately fell for the pink tone and thought it would suit me well. However, upon first application, I was surprised by how transparent the color was - with one coat, it felt incredibly sheer. After two coats, the color built up on me, and the result was a nice, shiny pink shade. Since the polish is quite transparent, a bit of precision is required to achieve an even finish. Otherwise, it was easy to work with. It dries quickly and is easy to build up in multiple layers. The durability is in line with a classic Essie polish - good, even better with a top coat. Really glass shine!
I tried the Essie Glass Nails Nail Polish 20 Cin Cin. Nice color and good shine. It flowed out incredibly well and made the result very even and nice. I understand why it's called glass polish! I got an even result already with the first stroke, but I thought the color became perfect with 2 strokes. Easy to apply. The pictures are with 1 layer and then 2 layers in different light.
