I’ve really fallen for the NYX Buttermelt Highlighter in 1.5 U Butta Werk! This is the kind of highlighter I like to bring out when I want my makeup to look a bit more glowy and luxurious without it being too much. The first thing I like is the formula itself. It feels so soft when you work with it, and I think it blends really nicely into the rest of the base. It doesn’t feel like the highlighter is just sitting as a separate layer on top of the skin. ✨ I usually apply it on the cheekbones, a little on the bridge of the nose, and sometimes just above the lip when I want a bit of extra glow. And here I really think a little product goes a long way. 😂 It’s so easy to build up the intensity instead of starting with way too much. What I like the most is how the light hits the highlighter. I get a really nice, glowy effect when I move, but I still think it can be kept quite natural if I use a lighter hand. 🤍 I also think it works well together with the rest of the Buttermelt products. When blush, bronzer, and highlighter all have that same soft feel, I think the whole base looks more cohesive. And the shade Butta Werk is really a tone I can see myself using often. It doesn’t feel boring or flat but gives the face that little extra touch that makes the whole makeup feel more finished. 🥹✨ One small downside is really just that it’s easy to get a bit too enthusiastic with it. 😂 The first time I thought, “a little more can’t hurt” … well, it could. Here, less really is more! But once you find the right amount, the result is so beautiful. Soft, glowy, and luxurious without feeling overdone. The purple one could be very nice, but it’s very glittery, and you’ll have your face full of glitter 😅 It should have the same texture as the pink one because that one is absolutely lovely.
