Nice tan but stubborn scent 🌴
I had the honor of testing Rebecca Stella Tanning Mousse and Tanning Face Mist in the role of #lykoinflutester, and here are my honest thoughts about the products! Right upon application, the products smell absolutely fantastic of coconut – you get instant vacation vibes! The mousse is very easy to work with; it’s simple to get an even application and glides on the skin without leaving streaks. The face mist gives a beautiful glow and feels luxurious when applied. The result truly lives up to my expectations and gives a super nice color! The only thing I noticed is that the classic "self-tanner smell" emerges after a while and sticks around quite stubbornly. For me, it took about three showers before the scent completely disappeared, so it’s good to keep in mind. I also tried the mitt, which works okay for distributing the product. However, I noticed it leaked a bit, which caused me to get product on my hands. So be extra thorough with washing your hands right after you’re done to avoid stains on your palms! Overall, I’m very happy with the products! I don’t have a lot of experience with self-tanning products, but compared to what I’ve tried, I think this one is really great. Deep tan, but if you want less deep, you can leave it on for less time. Or just use less. Good tips as always, exfoliate and scrub your skin beforehand. Moisturize really dry areas with a bit of lotion first so they don’t absorb much more product = patchy. I think the mitt is awesome, gives an even and easy application. The scent smells more like other things, like coconut at first, maybe develops a bit of a self-tan scent but then it’s subtle. I usually get annoyed by self-tan smells but not with this one. Gives a nice natural color! Not yellow or orange. Will buy another when the current one runs out. Tested Rebecca Stella’s self tan and I have to be honest First of all, I didn’t see a very big difference, neither immediately nor after 6 hours. The color turned out quite mild on me, and I missed a bit more of a wow effect. The application was fine enough, but I have to deduct points for the application glove. It felt quite cheap and didn’t improve the experience, a bit thin and not very luxurious. Personally, I’m also not the biggest fan of self-tanning in general, because I find that it doesn’t last very well on my skin over time. I often end up preferring to use a tanning bed or sunbathe outside when I want color. All in all, an okay self-tanner if you want a very natural and light result, but for me, the effect was a bit too little. #rebeccastella #lykoreview #lykoinflutester92 views
