  I have light hair, hardly any yellow tones. I would say my hair is between 9-10. I finally mustered the courage to buy the dye, after asking a question about the product two years ago but never really getting around to buying it. This dye, which was supposed to be quite similar to the picture, gave ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I can sense a little pink in the shifts, and that’s where it stops. So, if I strain myself. I followed the instructions - it’s also relevant to mention that I repeatedly buy igora vibrance (in other shades) so I know how the dye works on my hair. I let this sit for 30 minutes, and during the process, it looked like it was taking as it should. The disappointment was great when I dried my hair and nothing had happened. The plan was to have the dye yesterday on New Year’s Eve. I also want to share the following: My hair became very dry, it usually is nice and manageable since I take care of it. Comments such as the hair's quality affecting the result are therefore dismissed as they are not relevant in my case. My hair is (hopefully) still of very good quality. A color bomb from Maria Nila would in comparison give a tone at least after a few minutes. This was an expensive joke. If there was nothing wrong with the product I just bought, that is to say, if it’s meant to be like this, I would instead recommend letting the money go to something meaningful. It’s not worth the hassle to order, pick up, set aside time to dye, only to then spend a few hours with hair treatments, etc.

    The pictures can be difficult sometimes because 9.5 is light blonde while 98 is mostly violet so red. On light hair, you will get a light violet-red color that can appear pink. And unnatural colors hold worse in the hair. It helps to have a booster. And it varies what you have as a base on the hair. But in the salon, we usually use this on light hair to get a kind of light rose champagne color.

Going from level 5 to the color in the picture with 9.5-98 is quite an advanced treatment, as it requires lightening the hair several levels and the shade becomes really light and nice ✨ I really recommend getting help from a hairdresser for the best and safest results.
