    Series 2

Hey, are you getting series 2 in for this mask? It's much better, and I've been following along here for a year now in case you get it in... hope you choose to bring it in :) I'd rather buy from you than online from the store in the USA.

CurrentBody- Series 2 for both face and décolleté

I have tested one of the most talked-about LED light masks in the beauty world for a longer period, CurrentBody- Series 2 for both face and décolleté, and below you can read my honest experience with red light therapy. I’m sharing some of my notes during the treatment in bullet points below. What is LED Light? LED light works on a cellular level and is said to increase collagen in the skin and reduce inflammation. LED, which stands for Light Emitting Diodes, was researched by NASA in the 1990s to speed up wound healing and reduce inflammation in astronauts. At that time, it was discovered that different wavelengths of light could stimulate collagen production and also combat acne bacteria. The LED light mask I have tested is very easy to use. It has three clinically approved wavelengths: Red (633nm), NIR = near-infrared (830nm), and new deep near-infrared (1072nm). It has a portable control with only an on-off button. It is not possible to select more functions or light modes as the treatment time is pre-programmed to 10 minutes. Here are some of my notes during the treatment time :) The mask is quite heavy, and sometimes I felt it weighed down my eyes with its protective "swimming goggles," and made my eyes a bit dry. I still think the fit is good and that it adheres well to the skin as it has a silicone surface on the back. Extra good with the new fit of the series 2 mask, with chin strap as well. The décolleté mask was no trouble to use. Possibly it was a bit cumbersome to have the downside of sitting tight around the neck. But otherwise nothing to note. How have I used the LED Light mask? I have used the mask at least 4 times a week, for 6 weeks. I mostly used it in the evening as I feel it calms the nervous system and makes me pleasantly tired. I tried it once in the middle of the day, but I clearly lost momentum afterward. So the evening was best for me. What was the hardest part during the treatment? The hardest part was probably remembering to prioritize using the mask in the evening 4 times a week. And definitely very hard not to apply anything after washing my face in the evening! The skin must be completely free of products and dry when doing the treatment. I had a tube of Cicaplast on my nightstand, which I quickly applied after the treatment was done. Did the mask require any maintenance? I wiped it down with a damp cloth and stored it in its fabric bag. The mask needed to be charged 2-3 times during this 6-week period. The masks were stored in 2 separate bags. Wrinkles Honestly, I don’t see any major difference in the wrinkles. Maybe fewer dryness wrinkles in the outer corners of my eyes? Or maybe a little softer lines on my forehead? Perioral Dermatitis I had an outbreak of Perioral Dermatitis at the beginning of the use and felt great fear! You who have Perioral Dermatitis know exactly. I have struggled with one or two red spots during these weeks, but now they are like blown away! What if the red LED light cured my PD?? Mind-blowing thought in that case. I currently have a clear chin and even dare to use a few active products. Hooray! Pigment spots Has my pigment spot on my cheek not become a little lighter? Conclusion I am satisfied with this LED mask and will definitely continue to use it. I think it complements my existing skincare routine and improves skin quality. But I will probably use it more as a maintenance treatment, about 2 times a week. I feel good when I use it and think it affects me positively. Contraindications LED light mask is not for everyone. If you are light-sensitive, have epilepsy, or another medical condition, read on! If you are unsure if it is suitable for you? Ask your doctor.

Hi, this is a bit unrelated to this mask, so I apologize for that. I'm wondering if you will be getting the Multi Light therapy mask from currentbody? And if you know approximately when? Thanks in advance❤️

Hi Carolin 👋 Thank you for sharing your experience. Typical that the mask didn't quite fit you ❤️ The experience with LED masks can vary greatly from person to person, especially regarding fit and light sensitivity. We hope you find a way that it still works for you 🥰

Do comfort glasses come with it?

I have trouble getting headaches from masks. Do comfort glasses come with it, or can you buy them somewhere that fits under this mask? If so, which comfort glasses do you recommend?

Hey Kicki😊 I understand and am so glad to hear from you✨ The mask comes with eye protection/comfort glasses, but if you get a headache, you can use your own flat LED or blue light glasses that fit under the mask. Make sure your eyes are closed, and feel free to start with shorter treatments to get used to it. Comfort glasses that cover the eyes properly usually work best to avoid discomfort. I’ve linked so you can see what the ones that come with it look like in the picture of a customer in the reviews, you can see the white edges of the mask that protect the eyes 👀 lyko.com/en/community?items=c7859025-b3e8-4e5c-baf4-e065715d1b20 Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a super nice day❄️

    Hi!

How many LEDs does this have? Can you use this if you have a small metal implant in your back? I usually can use Nuface without any problems.

Thank you! 😊 Sorry that I forgot to answer your question regarding LEDs as well, just realized this 🙊 What I find is that this one, which is the original model (Series 1), has 132 LED lights: 66 red (633 nm) + 66 near-infrared (830 nm). Hope this can be helpful!

    Not a good fit

The eye protection is very hard. Feels worse because the mask is not very flexible and the strap at the back of the head is short, making the mask tight. Bought as a gift for mom and dad, where dad can't get it to fit properly or comfortably due to the short strap. They also can't use the eye protection because it hurts that it is so hard. Should have had larger eye openings or they should be placed further apart. Disappointed compared to the price, as I have a much cheaper one (1/3 of the price) that is 10x more comfortable and also has 7 light functions - this one has one.

HOW IT WORKS:
As skin ages, cell replication and collagen production slows down and eventually depletes. Environmental factors can speed up this depletion, such as unprotected sun exposure, smoking, and dietary factors. Clinically proven to stimulate cell renewal, and boost circulation and cell oxygenation, Infrared light combats the natural ageing process for younger, fresher skin. The CurrentBody LED Light Therapy Face Mask combines red (633nm) and near-infrared (830nm) light wavelengths to kickstart our skin's collagen production. These restorative benefits penetrate deep under the skin's surface for instant and long-lasting transformative results. It's the 'Hollywood Glow' wavelength!

Use:
Step 1: Conduct a sensitivity test (see additional information in the user manual).
Step 2: Cleanse your skin and pat dry. Apply a few drops of the CurrentBody Skin Green Tea Serum.
Step 3: Attach and adjust the strap around your head.
Step 4: Switch on your device. Sit back and relax for your 10-minute treatment.
Step 5: Remove device from your head and wipe clean.
Step 6: Safely store your device in the protective storage bag.

Expert Tip: Boost your anti-ageing results by using the CurrentBody Skin Hydrogel Face Mask underneath your LED treatment. When paired alongside the Green Tea Serum, this glow-inducing combination nourishes, hydrates and reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
