With moat-deep blue-black circles under my eyes that get deeper every year and a tendency to get swelling under and over my eyes in recent years, eye masks have now become something I feel a strong need for several times a week😃 I am constantly on the hunt for a more wallet-friendly alternative to 👀masks than my favorites Anatomicals lyko.se/anatomicals/anatomicals-puffy-eye-patches-3x6g, Too cool for school lyko.se/too-cool-for-school/too-cool-for-schoolcoconut-oil-serum-ey and Garnier lyko.se/garnier/garnier-skin-activeeye-tissue-mask---co! - Among the alternatives, I have so far tested Shangpree's Marine energy mask lyko.se/shangpree/shangpree-senergy-marine-energy-eye-mask, Holika Holika's, and now Pixi Detoxifeye. I store all eye masks in the fridge. Pixi has several types, and this one was supposed to be good for my specific problems. *Pixis are expensive compared to the others, especially considering the inefficiency! *The consistency is sticky and messy – hand washing is a must after application. *The fit is not fun: made for Asian eye shapes, it fits my deep-set, close-set 👀 poorly. - I have to cut every single pair to avoid them poking into my eye, and then they easily break. Only the last pair fit reasonably well😅 In the pictures, I compared an uncut Pixi with Anatomicals (which never needs to come near a ✂). You can also see how Pixi looks on me before and after✂ *Perfumed but I tolerate the perfume even though I am fragrance sensitive. Unscented would have been better! *Stays on: no, they slide around wildly so lying still on your back is a must. *Effect: zero👎?!? no matter how long I wear them. They come in a hygienic jar with an inner lid and spatula, but the box is gigantic compared to the jar – slightly misleading. It gets 1 ⭐ for the hygienic packaging. 💚 Pixi DetoxifEYE eye patches are one of my favorite eye care products. I've been using them for a very long time and I really like them. First of all, they hydrate the under-eye area wonderfully. The skin feels soft, smooth, and noticeably refreshed after use, and the eye area is well-prepared for makeup, making the concealer look more natural and not settling into fine lines. Additionally, they help reduce morning puffiness, which is why I usually reach for them in the morning. A big plus is also the price. At LYKO, they can often be found at a very favorable offer, so I usually order them right here. 😶🌫️ However, I recently noticed something concerning. The new packaging that I just opened has started to irritate me a bit. After use, small red spots appear under my eyes. Affordable and really good!
Really good patches that truly do what they’re supposed to do with visible difference after the first use. They have just the right amount of serum and stick nicely to the skin when they dry, which means you don’t have to lie down while they’re on. I store them in the fridge and the cool feeling lasts a long time, which is awesome!1766 views
