The most important product in the bathroom cabinet
I literally use this for everything: Scalp scrub once a week; Removes product buildup, hair becomes shinier and less oily. Apply to the entire scalp, let it sit after a light massage for 10-15 minutes, and double cleanse with shampoo. For armpits and groin 2 times a week after showering; Removes bacteria that cause sweat odor. As needed every couple of weeks as a gentle scrub for the face like a toner; Helps especially with oily skin and small breakouts. After shaving (not on the same day, otherwise it stings); Removes and prevents ingrown hairs. Treatment for keratosis pilaris on the forearms; Apply to the skin of the forearms 1-2 times a week after showering, wait 15 minutes, and apply cream or oil on top. Foot scrub; 2-3 times a week after showering, apply to the soles of the feet. Let it sit for 15 minutes and apply foot cream and put on socks.55 likes14290 views- 7 monthsNice to hear that the review was helpful! I always apply it to my skin through my hands, so I take about a tablespoon of toner in my hand and then just slather it on my forearms. It's good to let it dry and work for a moment before applying oil, and it shouldn't be washed off. As body oil, I use Weleda's rose oil, but any oil or cream works! For the groin area, I do the same, using a slightly smaller amount (teaspoon) on my hands and just applying it to the edge of my underwear. I don't use any other deodorants. This has especially been a convenient way to stay fresh during the summer. Let's really hope this product is never discontinued. 😆5 likes

Hello,
The product name and photo don't match. It's showing the wrong picture. Both are sold as two different product by Ordinary brand. See the pictures attached. - Customer service at Lyko12 hoursHey Hiba.Almasri 😊👋 You can also use this gem on your thighs, and it can help with keratosis pilaris❤ The product contains glycolic acid (AHA), which chemically exfoliates the skin to loosen skin cells that clog the pores. Keep in mind that keratosis pilaris often requires patience and takes time, so try the product for a few weeks to see a result. Remember to use SPF since the product contains exfoliating acids that make the skin extra sun-sensitive😊 Take care!

A fresh start with The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner
I recently started using The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner (240 ml) and can already feel a huge difference! It provides a gentle exfoliation that leaves my skin fresh and balanced without irritating. I use it in the evening to remove dead skin cells and boost my glow. The large bottle really lasts a long time, and I love how simple and effective the product is. Perfect for giving the skin a fresh lift! #lykomissionTranslated from swedish

- Customer service at Lyko5 daysHey Bella! 😊 So fun that you’re curious about The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner, it’s a real bestseller for glow and a more even skin tone ✨ Here’s how to use it: * Cleanse your skin as usual (remove makeup and wash your face) * Pour a little of the toner onto a cotton pad * Swipe over your face, avoiding the eye area * Let it sit, it should not be rinsed off * Continue with your regular moisturizer Since it’s an acid, it’s recommended to start cautiously, maybe 2-3 evenings a week and see how your skin reacts. And super important: use sunscreen during the day, as the skin becomes a bit more sensitive to the sun ☀️ Take care! 🤍1 likes

This gem is a must in my bathroom cabinet. I always use it in my evening routine after cleansing and before serum. An amazing product👍 The skin gets exfoliated and it gives a nice glow after consistent use. However, one should consider acclimating the skin to this product. If you have sensitive skin, you shouldn't use it together with other active serums like vitamin C or retinol. Depending on how potent they are. Full score 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 #lykoreviewTranslated from swedish

Ok while breastfeeding?
I have what I suspect is keratosis pilaris on my upper arms. I am breastfeeding though, can I still use this? ☺️Translated from swedish
1107 views- Skin therapist at Lyko1 weekHi Ellen! Thank you for your question 💛 Yes, The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution is generally safe to use even while breastfeeding. Glycolic acid works superficially in the skin and is not absorbed in any significant amount, which makes it considered safe in cosmetic products. However, the skin can sometimes be a bit more sensitive during the breastfeeding period, so we recommend that you: test the product on a small area first, always use sunscreen during the day when using acid products & avoid using it on the breast area, especially if the baby comes into contact with the skin there. Have a nice day! 🌸1 likes

Hi
I used a product a while ago that completely ruined my skin. I've gotten more pimples and «marks» from them that won't go away. I haven't had issues with pimples for a long time, so I'm hoping to find something that can help and get my skin back to how it was! Do you have any tips?😊 Thanks in advance😊Translated from norwegian
1968 views- Customer service at Lyko3 weeksHi there 💌 So sad to hear that your skin has been affected after the product. We understand how frustrating it can be! But don’t worry – we have several tips that can help you get your skin back to its best! 💆♀️✨ Soothing products: Use gentle, soothing products that won’t irritate the skin. Products with niacinamide and hyaluronic acid can be fantastic for calming redness and hydrating the skin! 💧 Acne treatments: If pimples are a problem, salicylic acid can be effective in fighting acne and preventing new breakouts✨ Moisture is key: Remember to use a good moisturizer to keep the skin balanced and soft. This also helps reduce marks from pimples🌿💧 Sun protection: Remember to use sunscreen! 🌞 This is super important to avoid making marks from pimples darker. SPF 50 is always a good idea. Wishing you a great day ahead!

The OrdinaryGlycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 240 ml
Select size
100 ml240 mlGlycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner (previously Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution) is an exfoliator that significantly smoothes skin texture and promotes the appearance of a more even skin tone, as well as more luminous skin, with regular use. It also reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The water-based toner format is suited to daily use.
It contains a 7% concentration of Glycolic acid - a well-studied alpha-hydroxy acid - and a plant-derived Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative, which varies in colour seasonally, and which may cause an apparent colour variation in the formula from time to time.
This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to the additional sun protection notes and other warnings in the provided directions.
This pH of this formula is approximately 3.6. Glycolic Acid has a pKa of 3.6 and pKa is the most important aspect to consider in formulating with acids. pKa describes the acidity of a molecule. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximizing effectiveness of the acid and reducing irritation.
Use:
Face/Neck Application: Apply once daily, ideally in the evening. Apply to the face and neck using a cotton pad or fingers.
Scalp Application: Apply to dry scalp, three times a week. Tilt your head back and use the nozzle to gently dispense product from the front to the back of the head in a sweeping motion. Massage well.
Do not rinse off. Do not use on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes.
Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.
If eye or skin irritation occurs, rinse thoroughly, cease use, and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children.
Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
