The most important product in the bathroom cabinet
I literally use this for everything: Scalp scrub once a week; Removes product buildup, hair becomes shinier and less oily. Apply to the entire scalp, let it sit after a light massage for 10-15 minutes, and double cleanse with shampoo. For armpits and groin 2 times a week after showering; Removes bacteria that cause sweat odor. As needed every couple of weeks as a gentle scrub for the face like a toner; Helps especially with oily skin and small breakouts. After shaving (not on the same day, otherwise it stings); Removes and prevents ingrown hairs. Treatment for keratosis pilaris on the forearms; Apply to the skin of the forearms 1-2 times a week after showering, wait 15 minutes, and apply cream or oil on top. Foot scrub; 2-3 times a week after showering, apply to the soles of the feet. Let it sit for 15 minutes and apply foot cream and put on socks.39430 views- The comment was made 1 yearsNice to hear that the review was helpful! I always apply it to my skin through my hands, so I take about a tablespoon of toner in my hand and then just slather it on my forearms. It's good to let it dry and work for a moment before applying oil, and it shouldn't be washed off. As body oil, I use Weleda's rose oil, but any oil or cream works! For the groin area, I do the same, using a slightly smaller amount (teaspoon) on my hands and just applying it to the edge of my underwear. I don't use any other deodorants. This has especially been a convenient way to stay fresh during the summer. Let's really hope this product is never discontinued. 😆15 likes

Hello,
The product name and photo don't match. It's showing the wrong picture. Both are sold as two different product by Ordinary brand. See the pictures attached. Question!
Is it common for the skin on the face to become red and spotty after use? I used the product once in the evening, and when I woke up, my face was red and there were small spots on my face that are barely visible but can be felt.57 views - The post was made 2 daysRating: 5 out of 5verified customer
Good for everything!
Perfect to use after shaving to reduce red spots, apply in the armpit to remove discoloration and odor, on the scalp, on the face as part of the skincare routine! Really great for everything250 views- The comment was made 34 minutesHow often do you typically apply it under your armpits? What difference have you noticed?

Retinol?
Is this a product similar to retinol? I am 20 years old and want to start using something that can counteract lines and wrinkles, mainly something that can be used on the chest and face since I feel that’s where my skin barrier takes the most damage! Is this a suitable product for that or should I look for a real retinol, and if so, can you recommend something within a reasonable budget?🕺🪩300 views- The user's roll: Skin therapist at Lyko. The comment was made 3 daysHi Hilda 😊 This product is not the same as retinol. Glycolic acid exfoliates the skin and gives a glow, but has limited effect on wrinkles. Retinol, on the other hand, works deeper in the skin and is better for preventing lines and strengthening the skin’s structure over time. If you mainly want to counteract lines, retinol is a better choice. Glycolic acid can be used as a complement for radiance, but be careful if your skin is sensitive. Here’s a tip for a good product with retinol, remember to introduce it slowly and be extra careful with sun protection during the day: lyko.com/sv/hudvard/ansikte/serum/the-inkey-list-starter-retinol-serum-30ml Wishing you a nice day! 💌 Also focus on hydration and SPF, that makes the biggest difference in the long run.

Question
Can this help with the bumps on my arms? I’m not really sure how I got them, but I think it’s from Estrid’s razor when they changed the blade and I got bumps from that. However, it’s been almost 2 years. It feels like nothing helps☺️1 product in post Question413 views- The user's roll: Skin therapist at Lyko. The comment was made 5 daysHi Maja 😊 Yes, glycolic acid can help your bumps on your arms, especially if it is keratosis pilaris or clogged hair follicles. But it requires regular use and sometimes needs to be combined with a moisturizing or urea-based cream for best results. Have a nice day! 💌

Sweat smell
Hi! I've started to smell sweat from my armpits for a while now, not sure if it's because I'm currently losing weight. But of course, it's embarrassing. I thought I would try this product. But now to my question, if I use it in the evening, can I wash as usual the next morning and use deodorant? Could you possibly recommend a good deodorant that doesn't cost a fortune? //Frida1 product in post Sweat smell550 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 5 daysHi again Frida! 😊 A good alternative is lyko.com/sv/cerave/cerave-sa-smooth-cleansing-237-ml- which can be used in the shower on the underarms a few times a week. It contains salicylic acid that helps break down sweat, bacteria, and buildup on the skin, which often contributes to odor 💫 Use it as a “short cleanse” in the shower, let it sit for a bit, and rinse off. Afterwards, you can continue with your usual shower routine and deodorant as normal 👍🏼🤗 Take care 🥰

Used under the arms
hi, can you use this under the arms, like in the armpit, to lighten the skin there?1 product in post Used under the arms1476 views- The user's roll: Employees at Lyko. The comment was made 2 weeksHi 😊 Yes, you can use it under your arms to even out your skin tone, but be a bit careful since the skin there is sensitive. It's best to start 1-2 times a week and avoid using it right after shaving. Have a nice day 💕

Can this be used by a 13-year-old girl?
Can a 13, soon to be 14-year-old girl use The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner? I'm wondering if it helps with pimples/pimple scars on the back and chest? 💗2029 views- The user's roll: Farmaceut på Lyko. The comment was made 3 weeksHi SynneS 😊 So good that you ask 🤍 The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution is not suitable for a 13-14 year old. It contains a fairly high concentration of glycolic acid which can be too strong for young skin, and it is not recommended for the back or chest at that age. It’s better to start with mild, soothing products or low-concentration salicylic acid if you want to fight pimples. Here are some suggestions that are great for this: lyko.com/sv/cerave/cerave-sa-smooth-cleansing-237-ml-?fromsearch=cerave+sa+cleanser lyko.com/sv/niche-beauty-lab/acnemy-zitbody-200-ml?fromsearch=zitbody Hope the answer can be helpful✨1 likes
The OrdinaryGlycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 240 ml

100 ml240 mlGlycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner (previously Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution) is an exfoliator that significantly smoothes skin texture and promotes the appearance of a more even skin tone, as well as more luminous skin, with regular use. It also reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The water-based toner format is suited to daily use.
It contains a 7% concentration of Glycolic acid - a well-studied alpha-hydroxy acid - and a plant-derived Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative, which varies in colour seasonally, and which may cause an apparent colour variation in the formula from time to time.
This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to the additional sun protection notes and other warnings in the provided directions.
This pH of this formula is approximately 3.6. Glycolic Acid has a pKa of 3.6 and pKa is the most important aspect to consider in formulating with acids. pKa describes the acidity of a molecule. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximizing effectiveness of the acid and reducing irritation.
Use:
Face/Neck Application: Apply once daily, ideally in the evening. Apply to the face and neck using a cotton pad or fingers.
Scalp Application: Apply to dry scalp, three times a week. Tilt your head back and use the nozzle to gently dispense product from the front to the back of the head in a sweeping motion. Massage well.
Do not rinse off. Do not use on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes.
Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.
If eye or skin irritation occurs, rinse thoroughly, cease use, and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children.
Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
