The most important product in the bathroom cabinet
I literally use this for everything: Scalp scrub once a week; Removes product buildup, hair becomes shinier and less oily. Apply to the entire scalp, let it sit after a light massage for 10-15 minutes, and double cleanse with shampoo. For armpits and groin 2 times a week after showering; Removes bacteria that cause sweat odor. As needed every couple of weeks as a gentle scrub for the face like a toner; Helps especially with oily skin and small breakouts. After shaving (not on the same day, otherwise it stings); Removes and prevents ingrown hairs. Treatment for keratosis pilaris on the forearms; Apply to the skin of the forearms 1-2 times a week after showering, wait 15 minutes, and apply cream or oil on top. Foot scrub; 2-3 times a week after showering, apply to the soles of the feet. Let it sit for 15 minutes and apply foot cream and put on socks.64 likes18650 views- 8 monthsNice to hear that the review was helpful! I always apply it to my skin through my hands, so I take about a tablespoon of toner in my hand and then just slather it on my forearms. It's good to let it dry and work for a moment before applying oil, and it shouldn't be washed off. As body oil, I use Weleda's rose oil, but any oil or cream works! For the groin area, I do the same, using a slightly smaller amount (teaspoon) on my hands and just applying it to the edge of my underwear. I don't use any other deodorants. This has especially been a convenient way to stay fresh during the summer. Let's really hope this product is never discontinued. 😆7 likes

Hello,
The product name and photo don't match. It's showing the wrong picture. Both are sold as two different product by Ordinary brand. See the pictures attached. Fantastic product that can be used for a lot. I use it on my scalp a couple of hours before washing, combined with hair oil in the lengths, followed by detox shampoo in the shower. Also used the day before shaving/waxing, on the chest, neck, and arms.Translated from norwegian

Bought about
I like this toner as it helps acne-prone skin. BUT it shouldn't be used too often in my opinion as it can be too much for the skin.Translated from swedish

Keratosis pilaris
Hi, I have keratosis pilaris on my upper arms. I'm wondering how to use the product, and when to use it in relation to the time of day.Translated from norwegian
1461 views- Customer service at Lyko2 weeksHey Hennie 💌 The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner is a chemical exfoliant that can help improve skin texture, and can therefore be a nice addition for Keratosis pilaris. Use it in the evening after cleansing, preferably 2-3 times a week until you see how your skin reacts. Avoid using it on irritated or damaged skin. Remember to apply a good moisturizer afterwards, and not least – use sun protection every day, as glycolic acid makes the skin more sensitive to the sun. Start gently, and gradually increase usage if your skin tolerates it. If you're unsure, it might be wise to test on a small area first. Wishing you a lovely day ahead 💓

Question
Hi! Does The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution help with keratosis pilaris on the thighs? I'm considering using it as a body scrub. Thanks!Translated from swedish
1 product in post Question3112 views- Customer service at Lyko1 monthHey Hiba.Almasri 😊👋 You can also use this gem on your thighs, and it can help with keratosis pilaris❤ The product contains glycolic acid (AHA), which chemically exfoliates the skin to loosen skin cells that clog the pores. Keep in mind that keratosis pilaris often requires patience and takes time, so try the product for a few weeks to see a result. Remember to use SPF since the product contains exfoliating acids that make the skin extra sun-sensitive😊 Take care!1 likes

A fresh start with The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner
I recently started using The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner (240 ml) and can already feel a huge difference! It provides a gentle exfoliation that leaves my skin fresh and balanced without irritating. I use it in the evening to remove dead skin cells and boost my glow. The large bottle really lasts a long time, and I love how simple and effective the product is. Perfect for giving the skin a fresh lift! #lykomissionTranslated from swedish

The OrdinaryGlycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 240 ml
Select size
100 ml240 mlGlycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner (previously Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution) is an exfoliator that significantly smoothes skin texture and promotes the appearance of a more even skin tone, as well as more luminous skin, with regular use. It also reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The water-based toner format is suited to daily use.
It contains a 7% concentration of Glycolic acid - a well-studied alpha-hydroxy acid - and a plant-derived Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative, which varies in colour seasonally, and which may cause an apparent colour variation in the formula from time to time.
This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to the additional sun protection notes and other warnings in the provided directions.
This pH of this formula is approximately 3.6. Glycolic Acid has a pKa of 3.6 and pKa is the most important aspect to consider in formulating with acids. pKa describes the acidity of a molecule. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximizing effectiveness of the acid and reducing irritation.
Use:
Face/Neck Application: Apply once daily, ideally in the evening. Apply to the face and neck using a cotton pad or fingers.
Scalp Application: Apply to dry scalp, three times a week. Tilt your head back and use the nozzle to gently dispense product from the front to the back of the head in a sweeping motion. Massage well.
Do not rinse off. Do not use on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes.
Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.
If eye or skin irritation occurs, rinse thoroughly, cease use, and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children.
Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
