Hey!
I see that some companies list this primarily as a women's fragrance, but some also list it under men's or as unisex. And I’m probably overall the only man who has rated it (from what I’ve seen so far).
Anyhow:
I understand that it’s often listed under women’s perfumes and reviewed by women. It has a relatively "feminine and floral scent" (similar to many scents that are often categorized as women’s fragrances).
BUT I really like it! I don’t like what is "the stereotypical / typical men’s perfume scent" ("boozy" and sharp - generalizing, I know - but it’s hard to clearly explain in other words), but I prefer spicier and more challenging men’s scents (e.g., Tom Ford Noir Extreme, which I think is very unique in this context).
This feels very unusual even for me, but it’s definitely one I will hold dear to my heart. Fantastic scent that offers new discoveries every single second you wear it - fruity and distinct cherry tones, bitter almond, floral, sweet, bitter, soft... but... at the same time forward and very intense.
Incredibly exciting and odd. If you want to stand out and not "smell like everyone else", then this is a clear alternative. Not for you if you want to blend in and (especially for me as a man) smell like all the other men (or women). :)
So why not a full score, you wonder? Well... it’s quite a bit of cash to cough up over five grand for 100 ml of gold scent, no matter how good it may smell. But... I’m not complaining and in this context, Tom Ford’s prices do explain why they, in my opinion, are the brand that makes the single best scents on the perfume market! 1
