This is a serum that has small needles or spikes that penetrate the skin and allow other products to penetrate better.
It comes in different strengths. I got 300, which is only meant to be used every third day.
I have tried this a few times now. Immediately, my skin feels exfoliated and very soft - even though I have a bit of texture on my cheeks. I will update the review when I have used this longer.
It feels prickly when you rub it into the skin, but not too painful. Like stinging nettles. My skin usually tolerates products well, except for my forehead. The forehead got a little irritated, but that went away quickly.
Overall, I am curious to see how well this works!
Update:
I have been using this serum for almost a month now, every third day. It has made my skin extremely smooth. You can't see it in the pictures, but the skin surface is much more even than it was a month ago (updated picture in the comments). I had a little mild irritation on my forehead at first, but that went away quickly. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with extremely sensitive skin, as it is quite strong!
Lessons I have learned:
Avoid the neck! I mean it! I applied it to my neck once, thinking that anything good for facial skin should be good for the neck too, right? Wrong! I scratched my neck all night, as if I had fiberglass in my skin!
Don't rub it in like a regular serum, but dot small spots all over your face and gently pat them in. It also makes it feel less prickly.
A trick I learned from the Koreans: first apply the cica reedle serum, and then put on a sheet mask.
Overall, I really recommend this if you want smoother skin and dramatic results – and don't mind a little tingling.
